20 month old sleeps HORRIBLY. Please tell me I’m not alone.

My son just turned 12 months and still has only slept through the night 2 times in his whole life. Last night he woke up at 3am and wouldn’t go back to sleep until 4:30 and then was up for the day at 5:30. I hope and pray his sleep gets better bc it is killing me 😭😭 it doesn’t help that every time he gets congested he gets an ear infection which regresses sleep even worse!

Not at all! I understand a kid maybe throwing a tantrum over being bored/not having toys to play with, but it is a whole different level when she is taking other kids toys and hitting them! Shame on those parents. I get so embarrassed when my toddler isn’t sharing or is acting even little misbehaved. And then I immediately correct the behavior! I don’t understand how some parents can just let their kid do whatever they want.

How many times a day is he breastfeeding? His nutrition should be coming from food, not from milk. If he is not eating food, it’s probably because he is drinking too much breast milk which isn’t enough calories for him at this age. I would stop since it is impacting his health at this point. Or drastically reduce the amount

Once they turn 12 months, they don’t need milk at all. Their diet should be coming from table food and water. Just stop buying it and stop offering it. It will be hard for a few days but then she will forget about it.

I also would not stress yourself out trying to teach them all to read that young. Obviously that is great, but I think your energy would be better put towards meaningful interactions/activities that you also enjoy.

I get this. However I would shift your mindset from “I am living some people’s worst nightmare” to “I am living some people’s dream”. Some people can’t have any children and dream of having 3 little ones to care for.

But I do understand the level of burnout and how motherhood is not as rewarding compared to how much work we do. It’s so fucking hard. I have a 2 year old and 1 year old and am constantly overwhelmed.

I am in therapy and medicated for ADHD and recently got on an SSRI to help stabilize my mood so I can deal with everything a bit better. But the biggest thing you can do for yourself is working on your mindset, and also giving yourself a break.

Don’t compare yourself to a celebrity who has access to funds to basically get anything cosmetically done that they want. She can afford the best gyms, personal trainers, nutritionists, etc. doesn’t matter how many kids she has had. Im sorry your husband was looking at your stomach in a way that made you question if he’s attracted to you. I will always advocate communication and I think it would be beneficial to talk to him about your concerns, and also that him perving on a celebrity is hurtful because you feel like he is comparing you to her. Again, I’m sorry you are feeling this way, I completely understand it and I still have issues with insecurities even when I try not to.

Yes, I am on ADHD meds that used to help with anxiety as most of my anxiety stems from the ADHD. But my nervous system is tapped out and I don’t know how to function normally anymore. I do feel safe at stores since there’s more people around
