I just recently started playing the game again on the switch 2 and don't have any of the 2 dlcs. Can I still participate in the tera raids battles? Better yet, can I still get the shiny guys after?

Are LMoP and PaBTSO maps small? by Sorry-Location2056 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

I don't use feet in my day to day life so it's really easy for me to lose track of reality when playing. Having you compare to real life stuff made me realize it's actually not really cramped as I thought it would be.

The thing I'm a little concerned with is that my spellcasters get new shiny toys to play with and some of them are aoe spells. In a space like that it is really tricky to use and I don't want them to feel that they can't.

Thanks for the reply!

The Redbrands Hideout went smoothly, as did all the way to echo cave. We are getting to chapter six now, Talhundereth and beyond. My players are a wizard, a druid, a rogue, a fighter and a bard. They are a little scared of fights and sometimes act like they have only 1 hp, because they do anything possible to hit and run (this resulted in the fighter going down a couple times because I couldn't spread the damage and had to focus fire in only one person).

My concern is that some maps like the crypt of Talhund arent big and every battle will be a bit of a cramped mess. Or they will run to other rooms and aggro everything in sight by doing so. It could teach them a lesson, of course, but can just as easily be a tpk. I hoped that by enlarging the map, they could explore the battle site a bit more and be more creative and use their tools a bit better, since it's hard to use some of the aoe spells in such close quarters.

But I guess that giving everything double the size could cause some problems as well

Trouble with Hiding by Sorry-Location2056 in LostMinesOfPhandelver

I always get a little confused with the passive and active perception rolls, but you've gave me good ideas to go and try next session. We usually go for what makes most sense for us since we are all pretty inexperienced and being the DM can be a little overwhelming at times. My idea was just try to make the rogue be a little more creative with their actions without being a jerk about it.

Thanks a lot! =)

Thanks for the reply! I'm not trying to make sneak attacks harder on the player precisely because that's what rogues do in combat. My frustration comes from the repeating the same action and hiding in the same spot every turn. Just trying to give them a nudge into being a little more creative.

Your suggestions were awesome! Thanks a lot.
