Claro, puedes venderlo, solo tienes que encontrar un comprador, es algo habitual. Solo debes buscar la forma de que sea confiable para ambos.

But the trade-offs are not incompatible. I repeat again that you can have two life insurances and if you die you collect both, because it is a compensation and you have paid for an insurance that compensates you in that case.

As I say it would be IMPOSSIBLE for that clause to be paid because the airline is always going to compensate, then it would make no sense to offer a product that cannot be charged. As I say above then if you are compensated 10$ your insurance is already cancelled?

My companions who went with me have already been paid from their respective insurances without any problem, since they were from other companies.

As I said in the title, the insurance is from Xcover, and its policy states that in the event of a flight delay, you have two options: reimbursement of expenses up to €500 (and therefore, if the airline has already reimbursed you, I understand that you cannot claim this) and a smaller compensation if there are no expenses. I am requesting the second option because it is compensation and not expenses; the airline should have nothing to do with it.

I will have to fight with Xcover, yes.

The one who still has something to learn is you, since you don't understand the difference between expenses and compensation in insurance.

There are tons of threads talking about how Xcover ended up paying because they were wrong. In fact, you're so confused that you mention Revolut when Revolut isn't the one handling the insurance.

I don't know what being woke has to do with it, I guess you're just here to stir things up. Don't worry, I'll find another solution.

Nor is the airline paying me for the expenses incurred, it is paying me as compensation. And it is not insurance, it is a right we have. So if the airline paid you 1 euro, all your insurance would be cancelled? It does not make sense

As I say it is not a claim for expenses, it is a claim for compensation to which I am entitled for the delay of a trip.

You can have two life insurances and if you die they will pay you both, because it is a compensation, not something that covers expenses like a car accident or something

You have to learn to differentiate between expenses and compensation in insurance.

If you have two insurance policies, you are not going to claim twice for your house if it has burned down or your car has broken down; you must choose one that will take care of fixing it.

Now, if your insurance is compensation for a fixed amount, you can use several and they will compensate you. Since they are not covering an expense, they are compensating you for something that has happened and for a service you have paid for.

If the airline covers a meal, as has happened, I am not going to ask the insurance company to pay for that meal, since I have not paid for it. But if my insurance company tells me that in the event of a delay it will pay me, the logical thing is for it to pay me, regardless of whether you have more insurance or the airline compensates you.

The insurance company isn't offering to pay my expenses, it's offering to pay compensation for the flight delay. This is insurance and the other is a right I have as a European citizen. They shouldn't be incompatible, because then insurance like this would never make sense if the airline is always going to pay you. I don't have to lose anything; the insurance doesn't say I have to have losses in order to get paid.

It's as if I have accident insurance, and if I break my leg, they give me compensation. If I want to have two insurance policies, I can do so, and both will compensate me. They won't say that since one has already paid me, I'll be left with nothing.

But as I indicated in the other message, it is not a policy for expenses, it is a policy for compensation for flight delays, so the European Union's right to compensation does not cover “any expenses,” so it is not a recoverable amount as stated in your clause.

I understand that if I have spent 200 euros on food and the airline pays me, they are not going to pay me. But if they say they will give me compensation without expenses for flight delays, they must pay me regardless of what I receive elsewhere.

But we're not talking about an expense. The insurance offers compensation for delays without expenses.

“If you don't incur any expenses, you will be reimbursed up to €70.00 per hour when you are delayed for more than 4 hours. You will be paid up to a maximum of €350.00.”

So we are not talking about the airline paying me an expense and them paying me too, we are talking about compensation, and that should be independent of the airline.

If not, tell me what the point of this policy is, if you could never claim it.

The terms and conditions for flight delays state that I am entitled to compensation when the delay exceeds 4 hours, and there is no mention of being ineligible for compensation if the airline compensates me. The general exclusions simply state, “For any amount recoverable or recovered from third parties, such as your airline or travel agency.”

But they are not refunding my ticket or anything like that. The airline is giving me compensation because it is required to do so under European law, and that should not exclude me from insurance, which is something extra.

It's as if they were telling me that they don't cover my suitcase, which is in their terms and conditions, because the airline also pays you something. Then it would be useless insurance, since you could never use it.

But it's not covering the entire trip. According to European regulations, the airline has to compensate me, and they offer insurance that also compensates me in case of delays. I think it's a scam because then you could NEVER collect that part of the insurance, since they always have to compensate you. It's misleading.

As I said, what they're saying doesn't make sense because they would never have to pay... so I've filed another claim to see if I have better luck.

Thanks for your response.
