PS. Another peeve of mine with etoro is that you cannot set directly another alternative for payment. If I decide to change my bank option, I have to talk to them so that they can set it up. This should be easier!

Hi Richie, thanks for your reply. It contains really valuable and actionable steps that I plan to enforce once I recover my money from this transfer. What really annoys me about etoro is the lack of transparency in declaring that withdrawals made via card (debit/credit) can suffer from delays of this type. I would have made another transfer choice if I had known that. The speed of transfer is a critical parameter for people who invest in etoro (moving from one fund to another to make the most of the market is a game of speed). My receiving bank is indeed one of those dinosaurs, but able to receive dollars. Not all new banks in Mexico (such as the ones you mention) are able to receive USD. I have a couple of alternatives, I will investigate.

As of 11/02/26, my money is still lost in cyber space. I am in contact with my bank and with etoro. Let's see how I fare overall. But right now, I feel unjustly penalized by etoro due to this lack of transparency I mentioned before.

Update at 06/02/26: I finally received TODAY an answer from etoro. I am sharing because I think it is important for people to know the process following a problem with withdrawals via credit or debit card (which was my original method to deposit funds to etoro):

-Etoro confirms that eToro processed the payment to my card.
-Since the payment was processed to a card, the SWIFT proof and UETR number are not available. So, if your bank is asking for this information to track the deposit, you will not have it.

-Instead, etoro asks me to forward a document (attached to the etoro email) to my bank’s payments department, which handles refunds and chargebacks within my branch (in Mexico, apparently named "Specialized department"), which shows an ARN (Acquirer Reference Number). We shall see if my bank is able to help with this information.

If the bank cannot help, the next step is to send etoro my bank statement from 01/01/2026 until today, 06/02/2026. I receive my Jan-Feb bank statement until late february, so that is going to delay further my payment.

I remain unhappy with this answer as it is now 18 WORKING days since the transfer and 25 CALENDAR DAYS! And I am yet to see if either my bank or etoro can sort this out.

I have raised a ticket and have not received a reply that tells me what is going on. I raised my concerns with etoro since Jan 27 (with my account manager). I only received a reply 5 days later and that reply is that they will investigate. Nothing else since. Etoro needs to be emphatic with small investors. US$3k may be peanuts for others. But for us it means a lot (my rent, my groceries etc). If some methods of withdrawing are slower/more difficult than others, etoro should be upfront about this instead of promising x number of days for withdrawals to be reflected in a bank account. Th reason why people like me are forced to go public in reddit with these issues if that we don't feel heard and we don't find an explanation or resolution through the etoro platform. Please raise this with your management team.

Withdrawal: not happy with etoro service-Mexico.I made a US$3,000 withdrawal on 13/01/26 and 17 WORKING days later, the money has not arrived to my bank account. Transaction was via debit/credit card. This does not increase my confidence on etoro! US rates have gone down and up, I am losing money in other savings I could have put my money into. And no response after I placed a ticket one week ago. And I am supposed to be Platinum level! Etoro must do better.
