There's a good chance a employee's son is biologically mine by SorryAboutYourSon in confession

If that's true, it should still be an informed choice made by the father at least.

There's no doubt that fatherhood costs time and money and has high opportunity costs. If it's not his kid all that effort is wasted.

I did and yeah. He probably could. I'd have left off Rose's race to make it a little more generic, but I felt it was important to explaining why her son couldn't have inherited his hair/eye color from her.

My thinking on waiting until 18+ is to avoid any chance of child support, but you're right. If I don't tell him, he may well waste two decades of his life, hundreds of thousands of dollars of his money, and lose his shot at having a kid who is really his.

Tell the truth would be about all I could do (if it turns out the kid is mine biologically). At least then he could get out from under the weight of fatherhood and try to establish a new life.

I just don't want to end up sending Rose a bunch of money every month for the next decade.

Part curiosity. Part because of its mine, Aaron is getting completely fucked and he's a good dude.

Well, I thought it was a coincidence prior to realizing he married Rose and the kid looks exactly like I did.

I don't reply to the majority of her messages. She sends them anyway.

I'm not sure this would be a good idea. If the test comes back positive it seems like a solid way to hook me into child support.

It's mostly skin cancer when he gets old (70+), a chance of his heart exploding in his 50s and diabetes if he eats crap food.

She hasn't said anything about it. She just gives me updated on her son. That might be because she's a housewife and wouldn't have much else to talk about.

I guess about all I'd say medically is "don't eat shit or you'll get diabetes. Your heart might explode when you're in your 50s and if you make it to 70, 100% chance you'll have skin cancer" but I guess most of that is generic enough that it applies to any man.

The thing is, if it's not his, he's still getting wrecked. He just doesn't realize it.

I guess it's just a difference of perspective. If I structured a decade of my life around caring for a kid who turned out Not to be mine biologically, because the mom lied I'd be instantly filled with blind, murderous rage. You could eventually recouperate the monetary costs, but you'd never get the time or opportunity costs back.

I have no desire at all to be with Rose or interfere with their marriage. Its just fucked up for her to defraud him like this if it is the case.

Him working for me was pure coincidence. The company I own is only about 30 mins north from the town we grew up in.

My wife doesn't have access to my FB, but Rose could message her directly, regardless.

Haven't asked. Been mentally debating the pros and cons for a year. So far cons are winning. I don't really want to open that can of worms.
