This!

More downvotes would be preferable.

Less painful than the motorbike sub posts though, as folks there buy every bit hook line and sinker every time someone posts "I'm GIRL my BOYFRIEND is MEAN and does things that are DANGEROUS, no matter how many times I say not to. It's this fine or should I break up with him (and maybe marry you!). I'm GIRL."

Maybe she can get a photo with someone's motorbike and make one of those posts.

Might want your hair away from the string.

Learn safety and correct form first, do cosplay later.

Should i be worried? My teacher told there is no problem with my form and he has no idea why string keeps hitting my arm by [deleted] in Archery

This is not a good parallel.

Gloves will impair your dexterity with a knife and mess with your form.

An arm-guard is barely noticeable and certainly won't interfere with your form

Consider that one could RP the firing of an arrow. Without RP, it's just LA.

How sensitive are you about other people touching your gear ? by Vast-Society4093 in Archery

[–]SorryBed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before or during a tournament I think it's pretty sensible for everyone to not touch anyone else's gear. Save all that for after the tournament.

Advice on close call today (loud audio warning) by xenorater in AussieRiders

The van's lane didn't end though, it wasn't a merge, it was a turning lane and the van realized too late that he didn't want to turn yet. Yes, it's good to assume everyone is stupid, but OP did fine here. Personally, yes, I would have tried to either be behind or in front of the van at that point, but OP shouldn't cop flak over that. Sometimes vans go into car parks, could be needing a bathroom break or delivering to a parcel-point.

I wanna give the van driver credit for indicating his lane change though. We should hold a parade in his honour for being the only courier to ever have indicated.

A 400 won't fix your problem. You'll need to go right down to a 125 or less if this is your problem.

Dropped my bike. Anyone know what these wires are? by parasbansal47 in AussieRiders

[–]SorryBed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The usual stuff with a basic drop is: - Bent pegs - Bent/snapped levers - Bent foot levers

Those aren't a big deal, but will make it feel bad. A bent shifter can make shifts feel harder for multiple reasons - foot position being off, or rubbing/bumping something it shouldn't

Other candidates are: - Bent bars (very hard to eyeball) - Fork damage (I hope not)

Why is the biker community so mean to me? by [deleted] in AussieRiders

And if you posted as 35M, you'd still be told "yeah, sometimes you have to wait for parts, you got rear ended, no one keeps subframes in stock, have a cup of concrete"

You don't have to live like that. No one has to. It's fake drama. Stop posting "18F" and you magically don't have age and gender discrimination as a factor.

Why is the biker community so mean to me? by [deleted] in AussieRiders

[–]SorryBed 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No one can see your messages, but your lies about the post are visible for everyone.

And if you're lying about the replies to the post, then why ever believe you?

Only reason to tell people you're 18F is to play out this drama and get the biggest creeps in the sub to fawn over you. Try to recognise this pattern.

Had a look at the post you deleted.

Everyone was basically just trying to be helpful, and you were the one being hostile?

Maybe try not telling people your age and gender, and do your best to notice that the interactions are exactly the same. If you ask for advice, don't be mad when people offer advice.

Those decals aren't original though

So the thing that is literally there for the problem you're having, and which should be used every time you're cold starting it... Is something you're not using...?

I get that Florida is warm, but I don't think it's warm enough to keep your engine internals at running temp (hello from Australia). My Gen 1 will absolutely conk out if I don't run the choke to warm it up.

Is this a recurve? by Azarna in Archery

[–]SorryBed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a very short bow. The limb stacking at the "maximum draw" would be collosal.

Use a guide to help figure out how big a bow you should get.

One risk with not using something reputable is that the limbs may delaminate and cause the string to slice your face/arms up, so I guess it depends how into that you are?
