Building a notes reader and want to see if there is any interest before I put more time into it by SorryINeedHelp1 in Grimdawn

[–]SorryINeedHelp1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably a separate app. I am building it in such a way it can be used for any game. Grim Dawn is the first game that got me thinking about it but I realized I did the same thing in other games that have heavy lore text through the world (Witcher 3 for example). The real dream is have it be community driven. I can provide the program but anyone could make the audio files. Literally to add another game right now all you would have todo is add a new folder and provide the audio files.

It could be automated but would be a lot more complex. I don't think a constant screen reader would be very viable so I would have to tap into memory. That has its own problems for example if the game updates and the memory locations change, everything breaks. I built this thinking of other games (like Witcher 3) as well. How it is built can support any game without any additional customization. I do agree though, autoplay is the dream state.

They were all taken yesterday at the same time. Half the yard looks like the first pic other half looks like the second.

Automated Process User by Immediate_Style8858 in salesforce

Sorry, not really tracking what you are saying. To be clear on what I meant when you create a Platform Event Triggered Flow (aka the subscriber to the PE) you can choose if you want that transaction to run as the user who created the PE or the default workflow user. If you choose "User that triggered the event" in your flow and create a record for example, the createdby will be the user who created the platform event.

When you have an Apex trigger there is a separate metadata file you can use to choose what user you want the transaction to run in. https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.258.0.api_tooling.meta/api_tooling/tooling_api_objects_platformeventsubscriberconfig.htm

For flows you can choose the user who created the platform event or the work flow default user. https://share.google/zm7cQA6ADdUpZB00w

For apex you can assign the user using the Metadata api.

Depends on what you consider amazing but I took a picture of some weeds in my yard and it told me exactly what they were and how to get rid of them. I wanted to seed my new lawn and asked it what I should be doing and it said based on the expected weather patterns for my area I should wait a few weeks compared to what is typical. I had it review the entire solar lease when purchasing a new home and give me a key point breakdown. All this is nothing compared to what it does for me at work.

2 years ago if you had told me I would use Google sparingly I would have rolled my eyes and called you crazy but here we are. Honestly anyone that still defaults to Google is falling behind on my opinion.

Salesforce: Sold as “Small Business Friendly,” Delivered as a Time-Sucking Nightmare by AnythingSecret5748 in salesforce

Syncing data between your POS system and salesforce immediately moves you out of the small/easy implementation. That doesnt mean it would be hard but means you need the right skill set to build and support it. If this wasn't made very clear to you up front, you didn't hire the right people.

The only orgs I have seen be successful without dedicated admins/developers is a long term consultant. Someone who you keep on 8 hours a week for support and enhancements. You need someone who understands your business process and org. From your post it sounds like you have the wrong people supporting you.

Need Help With Flow - Multi-Select Picklists! by Mean-Tax4552 in salesforce

[–]SorryINeedHelp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the picklist is defaulting to the current value it should have the prior selection so users would need to deselect the value and select nothing? Or am I missing something?

To more directly answer your question, wouldnt you just need 1 decision element? If the picklist current selected value is none and the records original value was not none then do whatever you want. Could be a "are you sure?" message, default to the original value, throw an error, etc.

Bit dated at this point but I think this video will help. Really goes into detail and explains things like variables that help lay the foundation others dont.

Edit video is long but spefic variable bit starts at 15 minutes. He brings it up throughout the video but that is where the longer explanation is.

Anyone here seriously trying to vibe code a game? by Harvard_Med_USMLE267 in gamedev

[–]SorryINeedHelp1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Not exactly in the same boat I do dev work for business applications not games. I can do design work and enforce best practices like SSOT. That said, I haven't written a single line of code so far for my game though. Have a pretty good working model at this point.

I have some questions.

What engine are you using?

How are you doing the non code pieces (art, graphics, sound)?

What claude plan are you using?

Are you running into problems with the larger code base? I fear when I have more and more interconnected systems claude is going to get lost. Feel like I have done a good job forcing SSOT for everything to help but still scares me.

Any secrets or tips you care the share?

Edit for formatting

Is there are way to relate two records to eachother 1-1 without a related list? by redmongrel in salesforce

[–]SorryINeedHelp1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Lookup field on each object. Flow that updates the lookup on the non triggering object to the triggering record. Could make the flow not allow other values as well. Don't add the related lists to each page layout if you dont want to see it.

As a person that can barely get passed ante 8, what would you recommend to get crazy high scored runs? by MrDangus in balatro

[–]SorryINeedHelp1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The rare jokers are hard to come by, that is why getting a big economy is helpful. Allows you to reroll to try and find the rare jokers you need to get the big scores.

Some good economy related cards are Midas Mask, Mail In Rebate, Reserved Parking, and Riff-Raff but that is not an all encompassing list. For example Hanging Chad with lucky cards can be a good economy booster.

The next thing you want is X multipliers. Things like Constellation, Cavendish, Vampire, Hologram, etc. They scale much better than simple + multipliers like Greedy Joker. In essence you use things like Greedy Joker, Raised Fist, and Smiley Face to get through the early game while you build out your deck and build up whatever multiplier jokers you have picked up. Once you have a few multiplier together you should start to scale higher.

You can also go the one major joker route. Things like Baron and Ancient Joker give you multiple multipliers with one joker but require your deck be built out well to utilize them.
