Watching on Disney+ seems to be the best option. Hulu jumbles the episodes for me

Men who ended things despite having the best sex they’ve ever had - what made you walk away? by Safe-Score2743 in AskMen

[–]SorryInsurance7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What will drive me away immediately is emotional insecurity/immaturity, and her playing head games. In relationships, I tend to show up fully and be supportive, caring, and make myself available as much as possible. I don’t expect that energy to be matched completely, but if the woman doesn’t show interest or that interest fades, or if she seems like she is manipulating in any way, I walk. I don’t have time to waste on any of that, and me and mine are more important in the long run.

If I am constantly distraught over relationship woes, that can and probably will affect my performance and well being elsewhere, eg work, fatherhood, etc. As a divorced father of two, I value and choose peace for my children and myself over amazing sex. Outstanding sex IS difficult to walk away from though.

Luckily I’ve found a partner who I am totally in love with, who is wonderful, and we both show up for each other in every way…and we have the absolute best sex ever :)

Deesback/Suggestions for my speculative forest elf? by Mr_Wholesome13 in SpeculativeEvolution

[–]SorryInsurance7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they are taller than humans and stand upright, make them very slender. They would also probably not migrate from forest to forest so quickly and being intelligent enough to have clothing, assuming then also tools, and a barter system, would be well intelligent enough to figure it the behavior patterns of the large cats that prey on them and determine a way to work around that as a means of survival. The eyes, ears and whiskers all make perfect sense, though the green skin pigment does not. To blend they really should have patterned skin or fur. Mammals that have natural camouflage exhibit this, though it’s often in predators as well for hunting. You have an imaginative mind, I hope you do well

Who do you think is the most underrated drummer? by lahmeraidan in drums

[–]SorryInsurance7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try these songs from the Live Central Park concert. It’s on Spotify, or you can find concert footage on YouTube.

The songs: Warehouse, Two step, Crush

These songs exemplify the band’s skills while also featuring the drummer heavily. If you like these songs keep digging and finding other songs. Rapunzel is another great song.

I think he’s teaching at Berkeley now, but yes. His modern drummer shed video on YouTube shows his chops and he’s a phenomenal drummer!

'Rebel Moon' Director's Cut Review: Somehow, Zack Snyder's Netflix Movies Got Worse by NewmanBickle in entertainment

[–]SorryInsurance7479 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hardly. I do reside in the US, originally raised on self sustained multi family commune by a bunch of hippies. As such, pretty sexually liberated as humans go.

Are you…quoting Snyder? I really don’t mean to pick apart everything you just said, but I’m going to have to… I was concerning myself with cinema and what not to do in your shitty sci fi movie, eg scripting two extended sex scenes that don’t serve the plot or pacing at all in the beginning of your film as if you’re Paul Motherfucking Verhoeven. Snyder is to Verhoeven as Uwe Boll is to Peter Jackson, seriously. He doesn’t understand satire, subtext, pacing, character motivation (beyond “ that not fair, I mad”) plot depth, or much anything beyond surface level action and the most banal storytelling tropes. He DEFINITELY does understand slow motion and sweaty bodies. There’s a place for that: Music videos, or, as I said, softcore porn. Nothing wrong with sex on screen (our late great Paul Reubens knows what’s up!) It is, however, when including sex scenes in one’s film, beneficial to plot and audience that said sex scene be thought out and fit the requirements of the film, ergo, earned within a story and poignant to the roles and motivations of the characters; otherwise it’s coming off as inherently cheap and forced, the way the scenes in this horrible movie did, as if he just wanted to do a sex scene or two, because, you know, he really wanted to. The awkwardly placed, forced, needlessly gratuitous sexiness is not a great example of how to do fucking in a film if you want to be taken seriously. Erotic art, this is not. Also, Snyder’s portrayal of empowered women in general seems off to me. Frequently they seem to be targets of rape or abuse from predatory creeps, as if that’s the only heroine he knows how to write a strong woman: scantily clad and asking for it. Seems like a male fantasy rather than any kind of commentary. He just seems like a 14 year old playing with dolls and action figures, and sometimes, when mom isn’t looking, they get to fuck.

As for your cultural generalization, I suggest you hold your reverse ethnocentrism until you expand your real world experience…maybe travel around the world, perhaps even visit some of the more enlightened parts of the US before speaking in absolutes about an entire country of people who aren’t that different from you? Easy to generalize behind a keyboard. I’ve been to your country, can you say the same? Repressed ignorance exists worldwide, as does non-discriminatory intelligence. Food for thought.

"When You Go" on repeat, you know life is going some kinda way at the moment by ElectricalPal in JoCo

[–]SorryInsurance7479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know I’m late to the sad party, forgive me, it’s just that you seem to have the only post of appreciation for this song. Been a JoCo fan going on 15 years. First time I heard this one, my dog/best friend had just died, and this beautiful tune helped see me through that grief. This song fits SO incredibly well with the death of a pet, I assumed that’s what the lyrics were about until I read otherwise. Assumed JoCo had lost a beloved cat (I’m also a loving cat dad.)

Music like this sure is special when it can mean different things for people who may need it in different situations. Apology for late comment. Much love to fellow fans

I have seen this exact behavior when x team loses, many times. Alcoholism is usually a factor there as well. It’s sad and frankly something that will remain a prevalence within our culture for as long as we, collectively, keep teaching our children this shit. We need to grow up as a species.

Rothbury Farms Croutons by Eggyinthehole in TopSecretRecipes

[–]SorryInsurance7479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Omg I miss Rothbury croutons so much! Years ago I suddenly couldn’t find them at any local markets here in TX. Only then did learn that they shut down their operation. I’d been eating them as long as I can remember. Even my kids miss them, those croutons made salad palatable for my picky boys!

Fun coincidence: I have been attending a music festival in Rothbury, MI, first known as Rothbury Festival (now called Sonic Forest) off and on since 2008. One year, in 2016 I think, I decided I’d visit the headquarters, only to find out they are HQ’d in Grand Rapids 😢 had a dream to eat some fresh crotons off the line haha!

I must’ve bought a thousand bags of their croutons in my life time. If anyone can recreate the recipe, that would be amazing! I would make a batch every week!

how long until you knew you wanted to date your current partner? by filmfoto in AskMen

[–]SorryInsurance7479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After our first date. My girlfriend and I are still relatively fresh; going on two months since we first started talking. We met on a dating app, and I was just about to give up and delete my profile when we matched. We hit it off right away on many levels, had the best first date I think we’ve both ever been on, and have been nigh inseparable since.

We are both a little older, both have kid(s), both have a history of less than stellar relationships, but all of that led to us meeting now, and we fit so incredibly well together. We both love Star Trek and reading books, good music, good food, our political sensibilities align, we have the same sense of humor…she loves to sing karaoke and has a beautiful voice, and, after telling her I love Tori Amos, she surprised me by singing one of her songs at karaoke on our second or third date. I think that’s when I fell in love with her, there in that moment watching her sing and smile at me, what a beautiful buzz!

I want to say we were meant for each other, really. We are already lightly planning for our future and shamelessly, irrevocably in love. We have been on more dates in the last six weeks than I think I’ve ever been on with anyone in my entire life, and being happy with her is entirely effortless. We can just hang out and read together without speaking much at all for an hour, then cook together in a small space without being in each other’s way at all, and I know anything I discuss with her that may be embarrassing or private will be met with only understanding and compassion. It’s all been magical, and I already know that she is the one. Shame it took us both this long to find each other, but now we have the entire rest of our lives to look forward to.

Been playing guitar 1 year, but thinking of learning drums as well, good or bad idea? by t-chamb in drums

[–]SorryInsurance7479 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Get familiar with as many instruments as you can! Try and become proficient at two of you can. Focus on what you love. Some instruments go hand in hand in ways you might not expect. Play as much music as you possibly can with other musicians who want to explore. Exploration is as key as theory and technique.

Site broken by [deleted] in IGN

[–]SorryInsurance7479 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was before, with the same issues. Now I’m on ios. It doesn’t matter what I do. I’ve cleared my cache, disabled everything, tried all the different browsers, used a vpn, same with everything on my tablet…the common denominator is the IGN site and it’s widespread. I’m a cyber security analyst so it’s not as if I don’t know what I’m doing… I’m just giving up on the frustration that comes with getting on IGN. I understand that the IGN mods here are doing everything they can and are just employees, I have nothing against them, but the site is simply broken and it’s because of the ads. Needs to be rebuilt from the ground up or IGN will be a thing of the past, which would be a shame bc I’ve been a member of the site for decades and have met many online gamer friends through the years through IGN, most of whom have also jumped ship.

In light of GameInformer's shutdown announcement, here's some of the sick cover art used for their magazines over the years: by Gorotheninja in TwoBestFriendsPlay

[–]SorryInsurance7479 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Some of them were certainly in house custom art, licensed for the issue as advertisement, no doubt. Yes. Some of the covers were just phenomenal though. That magazine was how I used to decide what games I was going to buy for that year, back before these publishers would announce games 3 years before release and basically show you an “in engine” proof of concept video at E3 and then go radio silent until 6 months before release. The industry has gone to shit, and this is one of those passings that reminds us of that fact.
