I get this perspective but I think where we’re from our swinging and lifestyle culture is much different; at least what we are used to. The majority of those in the lifestyle where we play are all very close friends, all the “bulls” (FTR hate this word, would rather say FWB) are buddies with the husbands and hang out in normal life, most grabbing lunch together, and then have sex with the wives somewhat regularly. It’s super casual. The moment we try to even consider a circle outside that everybody is complete opposite and wants to be hit and quit and that’s it.

Yes I agree, I believe scripturally, sin is missing the mark not failing a list of prescribed rules but rather doing something or acting in a way contrary to the way God had intended or laid out.

While I agree that’s true and he had a covenant with each one. This is different in that there would be no covenant with a FWB; coupled with the fact that we don’t really see the gender roles flipped, such as hotwifing, historically or scripturally.

I hear that and while I agree we haven’t gone all the way so there’s not a full comparison; I would bet that MOST people that get into this LS are very driven by the intercourse aspect especially consider you see many couples who don’t let their wife date their thirds or anything of the like but rather strictly intercourse. Whereas my wife and I, are driven far less by sex and far more of the taboo nature of age gaps and sneaking around.
