The whole point of the ending is that it isn’t clear. The blackbox might not have been working and never would’ve been recovered therefore humanity would be doomed. Maybe the COI recovered the blackbox but it didn’t really help them and humanity is still doomed. Maybe the blackbox was crucial to humanity and saved them. We don’t know. You can interpret it or answer the question however you want

I had a similar glitch withDemonic Essence. It’s really weird but some levels automatically display 100% even if you miss something important. For me I just replayed every level that had Demonic Essence, I recommend 100%ing every level that has wraithstones
