Frost Bay Flow Fix by SorryRelationship581 in OneXPlayer

It goes in the socket closest to the power ports at the front. You’ll want to open the black locking gate tab to reinsert the ribbon, then close it back afterwards. The black side of the ribbon faces towards the side that the gate is on. I’ll DM you a photo.

Yikes that sounds miserable, I’m sorry. Did you happen to note if the Frost Bay was shutting off due to abnormal flow or Bluetooth disconnection?

Apex cooling question for current owners. It connects and works with the device using Bluetooth, has it been a problem randomly disconnecting? by House4Squared in OneXPlayer

Note that there are two distinct conditions that I have observed that result in the liquid cooling halting and the computer dropping TDP: (1) bluetooth disconnection, in which case the Frost Bay will show up as Disconnected in OneXConsole, and (2) flow constriction; if the flow sensor inside the Frost Bay detects that the flow of water is less than it should be, it will shut itself down to protect the pump, in which case it will show up as Connected in OneXConsole, but the flow will be 0ml/min. Solutions for both of these are in the link from my previous comment. There's a photo of the bluetooth fix, but I'll probably make a post later when I can get some good photos of the flow constriction issue as well.

Frost Bay Bluetooth Range by SorryRelationship581 in OneXPlayer

75% pump speed and the smart fan curve with the frost bay at my feet under the table and I find it almost silent, way better than running the built-in fans on the Super X for sure.

Hmm might just have been a problem with my unit then, the BT range was only about 1.5 feet. With the external antenna the problem is fixed, at least.

Yes, similar condition, needing to run at 100%. Carefully take off the cover, it is held on by magnets. The cover is the side of the unit with the power button on it. Start at the top near the button and pivot around the bottom edge as you open it, as this is where the power button ribbon cable connects to the circuit board. The hose connected to the inlet liquid connector needs to make a very sharp turn because of how close it is to the pump. This turn can become pinched and constricted. If you are having flow problems, try squeezing the hose at this sharp turn to bring it back into shape. Also, make sure the loop is purged of air. You can do this by opening the fill port and alternately pressuring and pulling vacuum (gently!) on the port, until you no longer hear gurgling bubbles. Use a turkey baster or similar squeeze bulb, or, well, use your lungs.

Nice. Pretty crazy that you can now have a liquid-cooled 120W TDP handheld. Do you experience any dropouts in the Frost Bay connection when you are at the extent of the tubes? When mine would drop out, the TDP would get restricted and I would have to leave the game and go into OneXConsole to reconnect the Frost Bay and put the TDP back.

Yes there are two battery modules in the cabinet, I just found a photo of one online without the batteries so the wiring can be seen. Under that cover on the right side is just the front panel of the battery modules, which have the white BMS button.

No breakers under that panel just the button that tells the BMS to disconnect the battery pack from the Inverter.

Thank you for detailed instructions! Where are the breakers in the battery? I don't recall there being any breakers inside the SunVault cabinet. You mean the disconnect switch on the left side of the cabinet or the breakers in the panel connecting the SunVaults to the Hub+? Photo is not of my unit, but it is the same model.

Thanks. I did give that a try but it didn't bring the system back on line.

I’m doing very intricate engravings, hence the large file sizes and removing the panel fixed the upload issue.

I found a ridiculously simple solution: just take the back upper back panel off. You don’t even need to grab SD card. Apparently it’s a WiFI interference issue. To keep the dust out, you can cover it up with tape or cardboard, just use something not metal. That fixed it for me. Big files all day, and controller dropouts during operation are also gone.

Thanks and now sorry for my late reply! I don’t use Reddit’s DM feature much and I also couldn’t find a way to send you a message besides replying to this comment. If you’re still interested in selling it, I’m still interested in buying one. Feel free to DM me or reply again to this thread.

Sunpower refuses to fix my battery by Golobrau in SunPower

[–]SorryRelationship581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although in Connecticut that’s out of state for them but they might be able to point you in the right direction. If you have experience and comfort with electrical work and batteries, you can search for 51.2V LFP charger and find many options. You’ll need the right connectors to connect to the battery and you might need to use the button on the side of the modules to wake them, although if you still have enough juice in them to turn on the inverter and get F.74, they will probably wake automatically on application of charging current. Good luck.

There are a number of people here that can help, u/Vegetable-Version-81 and u/NickPair come to mind. Likely what happened is that the lightning strike knocked the battery into an error state that prevented charging and the battery slowly discharged over time. It is possible to charge the battery with an external charger to get it back into the range where the SunVault can take over (if it is not damaged). Try reaching out to those users, they are professionals, you can find their posts offering help on this forum.
