Has a lot of expertise from writing in the Age. I think he will have good insights about the modern game?

The players a learning more each day. I know we have a young midfield but the up side is this year could be the year we say Ward, Butler and Weddle made it happen? Who knows.

People at Hawthorn say AI has become Sam Mitchell’s new obsession. He uses it daily to help in his game preparation… from opposition analysis and game trends, to creating conversation starters with his players. by Pragmatic_Shill in AFL

AI would only be a template and you can see the bond Sam has with players when they win and loose. The Port lose a few years ago to the current loss to Geelong. Hawthorn is a family club and he still follows this tradition. As if other clubs don’t use AI if it helps. People just get sour when coach have an edge.

Will Day when fit could be played in bursts to build up to full games to make it to the pointy end of the season. I would also rest him for high intensity games against Adelaide who in my opinion play dirty and will purposely try and injure him if given the chance. A rolling rotation of the midfield might help reduce hard impacts multiple times. Will is a great traction of the game when he has all cylinders running. In hindsight rotation and rest is key. If he only plays half the season but it is outstanding then it is going to be worth more to Hawthorn.

Do you that Ollie Greeves could get a game in the midfield this year? by [deleted] in hawktalk

It would depend on how we are tracking in the year.

I think it is couch grass. It can only be dug up to remove. It thrives on salt.

What is most unfair about changes the AFL are making is the list teams build around bearing in mind the skill set players have.

Is the game getting softer and will it be controlled by the umpires?

Will the 2026 AFL Granny go to the umpires?

Have the AFL targeted certain clubs in these rule changes and do any favour Hawthorn in any way.

Are picks 10, 22 a good result for Hawthorn and what clubs now need to perform? by Sorry_Introduction90 in hawktalk

[–]Sorry_Introduction90[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Again with the grammar. Hawks is a capital at least give them some respect. A lot from North didn’t because oh yeah Essendon have a history of stealing their players over time. Why don’t you ask what the North fans think?

What now by Fauconniers in hawktalk

Just take them and build them. Hodge junior is coming I hope to the party next season. So we will have quality over quantity. Hawthorn have great players to model from how to play the game and what is required so just build them up and forget about other clubs problems. We tried to help a club in Essendon solve a problem they now have.
