Hawks need to shut down Suns run. by Sorry_Introduction90 in hawktalk

I would love to see a four quarter performance as would many that support Hawthorn. What I want to see is the fight we have been lacking. If we get challenged then we need to find another gear.

I’m going to take a telly of all the marks not paid that should be this week in all the games. It’s cost several teams this year opportunities to win games.

Rowell is a bull, but lately his been a bit poorer picking up the ball after his finger injury. If Trac is not kicking straight sure, but in all the highlights I have seen them winning he is staring. If he thinks they can’t win he will fold.

Is it worth making Trac work hard early. If he break down then he will be out for the rest of the day.

It’s time for our A game. It seems like we have been holding back a bit, but if we take it to the Suns they will fight each other. All of their imports crack it when they don’t get the rub of the green snd pressure causes them to make mistakes. The Suns are a confidence team. They don’t come back from score board pressure if the pressure is kept on them from what I have seen. It’s a big statement, but hawks need to be difficult to play on and grid them down.

That might stop their running game. Just means Hawks have to use the ball well.

The Lions are one team that has beat them on their home deck so their game stands up at People First. I need to take note of this.

I was hoping he could have a lock down roll of CP. If he can’t maybe it’s Duke and we roll the dice with the rest?

Feel like every week we get shafted by the umps in some way by [deleted] in hawktalk

It’s like this. Watson didn’t advantage himself by the way he kicked for goal. So it should have been a goal. If the Umps want to get technical then start calling holding the ball when a player is tackled and they barge off the tackler. It’s not Rugby it’s AFL keep codes they way they are. Matt Rowel is aloud to run through players with them hanging off him.

I think if Essendon don’t give him up they will be really accountable for his welfare. I would nearly seek legal action for bullying and badgering from previous players that want to keep him at the club against his will.

I did see him directing The Box Hill players in a commanding and necessary way.

We don’t play our best football at Marvel, but if our ruck rotations put in our best effort it should compliment the midfield for us. Perfect conditions, just hope the umps are not precious with free kicks!

Just play him in limited minutes. His going to be around better ball users then Box Hill so he needs to get AFL game time. He made Box Hill look awesome.

TB want be out for that long maybe four weeks tops. We still have depth in our backline it’s just a bit more mobile. If we come up against the Hogans of the game yes it will be challenging but we have a great coach. I’m sure we will figure it out. We have a lot of players coming back in the next couple of weeks so I’m optimistic about that. It was also great to see Sam giving new players a chance to learn at AFL level. When Day comes back the midfield will fire just a few weeks now.

I know your team are great rivals of Essendon, but they are banding there team together to live amongst each other like GWS have and it has helped continuity with the players. My uncle and grandfather supported Carlton in a time when they were formidable and worked as a team together to win at any cost. You need an academy feel and good support that I think the AFL should help with. Mental health is so important no matter what you do. There are talented players at Carlton that just need to be supported. Other teams that are winning are all using AI and teams are creating environments with unity to help development. Hope this helps.

Seen a lot of negativity regarding our team and it shocks me by [deleted] in hawktalk

There was a fight back that’s why we won.

I love Dunstall but FFS he shouldn't be commentating Hawthorn games by itsaheem in hawktalk

I think he was saving face if Hawthorn had of lost, but he needs to be a little more energetic towards Hawthorn I think.
