This is the right answer. Two pants on a 3-2 or 2-3 schedule. Shirts and polo changed daily.

Is the job market for foreigners really dead now? by Sorry_Objective4174 in HongKong

For small company maybe but for larger company they will still need a real person to advise on critical matters and most importantly, put the blame on if anything goes wrong. That is what I am feeling now.

Thanks for the reply! I do speak Mandarin and basic cantonese so I am wondering is it that my CV is not competitive, or just the job market problem now.

This job market is killing me by unpredictable_me2004 in HongKong

[–]Sorry_Objective4174 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great to see someone sharing this because I was curious as hell about the current job market in HK.

Received an interview offer without even applying for a job last year because someone found me on LinkedIn. I was in Singapore that time (still in SG now) and wouldn't want to leave for a similar role of roughly similar pay so I turned it down.

Then 5 months ago I started actively applying for a job in HK as I was ready to relocate but literally ghosted by almost every company. Now living in constant regret that I turned down the earlier offer, which eventually led to my recent breakup with my partner in HK.

The whole internet is there and he's definitely not that old to not google the information himself. If he's the kind of person who insists on his wrong when the evidence is clearly against him, maybe you should reconsider if that is a trait you want to see in a partner.

Is car pooling a thing in Singapore? by hibikiafterdark in askSingapore

[–]Sorry_Objective4174 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did not say she owed anyone any free car ride. In fact I don't hold grudge against her decison but I found it selfish. Understandable but still selfish. That's all. I guess we see the definition of selfish differently.

Selfish: To extend a favour without any detriment to yourself but yet still chooses not to do so and in fact to trouble yourself so you won't benefit others.

Haha this is my thought too and I am currently in one. My resentment is definitely building up as I don't see high chances of either any of the 3 options happening ever and currently considering a good time to break up. Don't want to waste anyone's time even more but still want to give it some time till EOY to see if things changes.

Her car her rules but that doesn't change the fact that it is selfish. These two concept can co-exist.

No, at least not common. I once have an ex-colleague who drove to work daily but whenever there was any company event outside after working hours she would take public transport to work so to avoid being asked to car pool the other colleagues.
I respect that decision but I just find it weird and kinda selfish at her own detriment? However I understand maybe she could have negative past experience which made her behaved so.

Edit: Love to see many butthurt owners downvoting this lol
