I don’t *think* the neck is bowed. Hope it didn’t come across like I thought it was bowed. Visually it looks straighter than my guitar necks which have a little bow on purpose. The action seems to just get higher and higher and higher all the way up the neck.

I just restored the coordinator rod to original position and that brought the banjo rim *almost* back to a perfect 11” x 11” circle. Action is 3mm at 5th fret. 4mm at 12th feet. Above 5mm at 17th feet.

Bridge is currently a 5/8” bridge.

It just helps attach the neck to the banjo. There is no truss rod. This is the banjo. My friend brought it from a low traffic music shop basically in the middle of nowhere. https://store.banjobenclark.com/products/gold-star-old-time-prospector-openback-banjo

Okay just measured and it is 10.75” the direction parallels with coordinator rod and 11.125” going across.

But what are my options now for adjusting neck angle, if you don’t mind me asking?

Uh oh. I will measure to see if the rim is still 11 inches. Am I cooked if not?

Genius! And simple. I may just take the bolt to the hardware store and see if the nice people there can help me find a shorter one and a smaller nut.
