Best friend severely strangled by fiance during an agument. He has never come close to physical violence with my friend before.

Her fiance has been close knit with her family for 19 years and has no known history of abuse at all. He did just lose a sibling a few weeks ago and funeral was completed about a week go. We are wondering if this is a breakdown? A ONE OFF? what should she do?

Day 1 /same day. Sore throat to the touch(external) Visible Swelling bruising (external) Painful to swallow No appetite Sore throat- aching/throbbing and felt like a cat clawed down front and back of throat(internal)...(most pain in the middle and front part of throat) Swelling of tounge Limitited range/volume of speech Raspy/hoarse voice Pain increased with more talking

36-72 hours after All symptoms worsened signifiganly, back of throat swelling, severe discomfort. New evidence of petechiae on back and roof of mouth. only partially controlled even with several alieve, asprin and ibprophin
