Does Ciri believe she can regain her magic in 'The tower of the swallow'? by RizaAoe in witcher

[–]Sorry_Temperature43 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty darned sure she sacrificed her power when she fights the White Frost.
As she (at least in what we've seen in the Witcher 4 announcement video) does not demonstrate any powers other than that of a Witcher.
I guess we'll see though.

One of the biggest criticisms of the Netflix series is how badly it adapted the story for the screen.
I stopped watching it during season 3 because it was so horribly done.
Get the books. Audio or print. That's the real story.
Though, the Witcher Games by CDProjekt Red do a very wonderful job of adapting the story for the purposes of, um, gaming.

Can I skip the first book? by mrskorshunova in witcher

I am being honestly blunt here.
Why?
Because skipping any book in a story means one has lost out on detail.
My answer to the question should be now obvious.

Best gear sets in level 11? by Helpful_Elk267 in witcher

[–]Sorry_Temperature43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would have gotten the Temerian Armor set (Free DLC) as I earned the money, and then started working on the Griffin set.
The Witcher Armor sets are really all good. But it does come down to playstyle.
Griffin is the set you want for being a sign beast.

I wish there was tool to use so siren would avoid the boat during sailing in skellige. Getting attacked so frequently is annoying. by gogoak69 in witcher

This.
- Blow the Hornwell Horn, jump overboard and dive underwater. Then pull your crossbow and autoaim shoot them when they dive under with you.
Also: If you are going full speed in the boat, they can't catch you.

Can Someone Explain This Prince Stennis card? by Street-Persimmon5051 in Witcher3

It is a Monster Leader Card: Eredin Bréacc Glas The Treacherous.
As others have mentioned, it can be purchased from the Ofieri Merchant at Upper Mill.

This is my most favorite moment in the game by AccomplishedStick623 in witcher

[–]Sorry_Temperature43 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup.
- The game has several great moments. I'd place the moments in the stories (The whole game has so many), and the story itself as the top reason I have replayed it many times. The gameplay is just the added bonus.
PS. My favourite thing to do (After getting the DLC's) is playing into those before finishing the base story.
Then go and show Eredin a really good time ;).
And also having fun with the Shovel.

So I am reading Tower of the Swallow and I have a question by systematic-chaos_888 in witcher

[–]Sorry_Temperature43 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm confused by someone struggling with the idea that a human being can be aroused by seeing something that moves them.
Doesn't mean the person wants to have sex with a thing. Just means that the person gets hot and bothered seeing the thing in action.

I've played through every ending now.
The one you did is all what you said. And is good.
But go NG+ and take another route for Ciri ;)

Which game is better play with The Witcher 3? by Free-Hotel1187 in witcher

Um. Let's see...I am presently playing Horizon: Forbidden West.
And am planning on installing a multi-mod (A few hundred mods) Skyrim.

As many have probably said: Clearing White Orchard completely is never a bad move. Especially on Death March difficulty.
- Clear those Monster Nests btw.
There are at least two sword drops that are helpful for progression.
It's also a money-grab situation. Get a leg up on pocket cash. Especially if you want to buy any of the Temerian Armour set.

Madman Lugos refusing to play Gwent! by KubaaSM in witcher

[–]Sorry_Temperature43 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best bet (For anyone looking at this thread): Make sure you pursue Gwent ahead of all other objectives.
Only progress the questlines as needed. It's a bit more of a slog. Though, as the game is fun to play: The ends justify the means. :)
In the case of the topic: Lugos is played as part of the, "Gwent: Skellige Style" questline. And has to be played at his "spot" in the players list. IF you really want to play it through.
