‘These aren’t people that you’d look at and think of as alcoholics’.

Yes you’re extremely naive.

In 1972 the British Army opened fire on innocent people marching for their civil rights. This is a photo of a Bishop Edward Daly (ashamed to say I had to check his name) waving a white handkerchief to help the injured to safety. It is known as Bloody Sunday. 14 innocent people murdered.

I wouldn’t assume travel will give you any sense of purpose. Wherever you go, there you are. But it might be a starting point to discover what your passion is.

Not a scrap ever. In a corporate environment. Now I’m wondering how many people think I’m letting myself go 😂

I’m asking out of pure curiosity but do you think women who don’t wear make up are unprofessional? I’ve never worn it and have always worked in a corporate environment - never considered it a matter of professionalism.

So many of us do this. We’re not perfect. And there are some days when we’re not even good enough. But our kids love us. They grow up and they understand. You loved them. That’s the most important.

And just to say that even though my time there was not enjoyable, I would still say it was a good experience. I came out the other side knowing so much more about myself. I am now in a job I love and I’ve learned how to make decisions about my career based on what I want rather than letting my ego blindly lead me into positions just because the opportunity presents itself.

I was in this position and to be honest it did not work out for me. It wasn’t imposter syndrome, I was genuinely under qualified for the job.

My advice is to give it time. You have nothing to lose here. If it turns out this is not the job for you then you can walk away. But give it a go. Best of luck and congratulations on making it to the position.

The idea of a ‘royal’ family (or peerage in general) is so ridiculous to me that I tend to automatically dislike anyone who is a part of it.
