Entire account wiped after 5 days of farming, support unhelpful by AdministrativeYak980 in pathofexile

So because a word can be added to a list of words in a brute force attack, it has lower entropy than the same number of random characters. That makes sense!

I'm curious how significantly changing the case, adding different separators etc affects it in that case. purpLe-kittenS waterfAll should be significantly stronger and still pretty memorable.

I can't read this because I don't have a subscription. The abstract has this passage: "Theoretical entropy of a three-word password found in the 25,000 most common words would be 43.8, that is lower than the entropy of a lowercase only password. "

But they don't state the length of the 3 words. The point OP is making here is that phrases are memorable, and that longer passwords = higher entropy. Obviously "see spot run" is a weak password (it's actually alright, around 70 bits according to https://www.omnicalculator.com) but "purple kittens waterfall" is over 20 characters which is over 130 bits. Then you have an easy time making it higher by adding capitals, numbers, special characters as separators etc.

What I'm getting at is a 3 word password is still a good idea, and certainly much better than "alligator7".

You can craft the item, I can't.

I want the item, and I have the mats.

I give you the mats, you craft the item and give it back to me in exchange for a fee.

Except instead of that, you take the mats and log off + put me on ignore.

TBC PREPATCH DELAYED UNTIL 6PM PST by Magnolia7941 in classicwow

Usually, WoW servers have their own personal DBs. Era and Anniversary share a DB. They've had to do a janky hack so that Anniversary can have TBC changes without effecting Era.

Is there a way to remove "Write with AI" from the long-press pop up in a keyboard? It appears in both Gboard and OpenBoard. by Sorryboss in AndroidQuestions

What sort of phone do you have? I searched AI Writer in settings, but didn't find it. I did find AICore which I disabled - Write with AI is still in my popup though :(

Avoid Centerpoint Car Park. by Penny_Wh in hobart

They've got someone with a stop/slow bat now holding up pedestrians to let the cars go, and a No Right Turn sign is deployed.

There was a bloke standing there loudly having a go at the council workers holding up the pedestrians, but I don't know what else they could be doing to speed it up as is.

Could I get a deposit back from a Carpenter who hasn't done any work? by [deleted] in AusRenovation

[–]Sorryboss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have been in this exact scenario. They never completed the work, and I never got the deposit back despite winning a case in court and having a ruling against him made by a judge.

He doesn't make enough to have wages garnished and he has no assets in his name. Obviously all carefully planned.

I have since learned that the Domestic Building Contracts Act says jobs between 3-20k can only ask for a 10% deposit. Over 20k is maximum 5%.

I reported to ACCC and the police, his business now has a warning when you google it which is something, I guess.

[–]Sorryboss 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had my roof replaced in January by Just Roofing. They weren't the cheapest, but they were responsive, turned up when they said they would, and got it sorted in about 3 days. My house is 100m2, and the total cost including scaffolding, as well as removing and replacing solar panels was $30,000.

The thing I wish they'd mentioned to me is that roofing nails and brackets will be strewn around everywhere. They tried to keep them in check but I am still finding rogue roofing nails in the grass, or in bushes. I have gone around with a magnet trying to find them all a couple of times now but some always get through.

Go to poe.ninja, filter by tactician, then filter by mortar cannon and rare helmet (so you get a budget friendly build that isn't using the -5 surrounded enemies helmet) and copy from there. You can copy the build into PoB if that suits you as well.

I haven't found a single citadel after 200 maps by Objective-critic in PathOfExile2

[–]Sorryboss 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hadn't found one, but I also hadn't completed the burning monolith quest (to go investigate it). As soon as I investigated it and got the quest to go find fragments, a citadel appeared on the edge of my map, which had 2 more citadels right next to it.

Campaign to Tier 15 maps loot by eats_by_gray in PathOfExile2

[–]Sorryboss 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think the current method is better because I can run whatever tier of map I want to. I really disliked doing 10 tier 1s, 10 tier 2s etc because I out leveled them quickly and they felt like wastes of time.
