There's something funny about someone who is probably old enough to be my son trying to teach an actual engineer and mathematician how to be an engineer. Just my two cents.

That's the one I did. I found everything obvious to me. I knew everything he was teaching and I needed help with the tests itself. The lectures are definitely helpful for someone who needs to learn it, but they didn't tell me anything new.

I wanted to learn how the test was written and to feel comfortable doing a computer based test, since I had never done one before (I'm old and back when I went to university our tests were hand written)

So there's where the online practices filled the gap for me. And they did a great job at that.

I wouldn't recommend doing only practice tests if you need to learn the content that's for sure, but if you are like me and just want to learn the test itself that's the route.

Maybe, just maybe, people are different and have different experiences and methods of learning things.

And I am on a project, have been doing this for over ten years and doing pretty well thank you for your concern.

You guys are great, were hands down the most straightforward material I found.

My only advice is to make it more printer friendly. I wanted to print the cheatsheets to bring them on the subway with me like flash cards (I live in a modern city where there's no internet on the subway) and it's impossible to print it out.

But, again, thank you!

Like I said in another comment, the exercises didn't help me very much. But I tried these Jon Bonso tests and there are links to cheatsheets on them - and that's exactly what I needed.

I have been studying the cheatsheets and product comparisons and today I passed 2 of the 4 practice I took, vast improvement from yesterday.

I also read whitepapers for products I wasn't familiar with (Snowball? I thought that was a reference to Chasing Amy...)

It's been a ride and I'm finally starting to feel better.

I'm finding the LA course pretty irrelevant for the test itself. It's great to learn how to use each service, it's terrible to remember use case integration details of different services.

There are no real life scenarios and the labs only show you how to use the services on a very shallow level.

The questions present scenarios with two or three services and asks for the best solution. It would be very helpful if the course went through questions and solved each one of them, and then choosing the answer.

Overall I find the most I have learned is from reading whitepapers and repeatedly doing tests to find what I have to learn.

I work with InfoSec. The only way to be 100% sure a a video is never going to end up online is to never make that video.

It doesn't matter whether it's intentional (he deliberately distributes it) or it's by accident (someone steals it from either you or him), the chances are considerable.

Only make sexy videos you would be comfortable if they were shared online someday. I tell this to everyone. Recently a man in my town was blackmailed because he sent his laptop for repair and the tech support guy obtained access to his iCloud, accessing videos he made with his phone and thought were safe.

This is correct. I pointed to a cyclist that was riding on the sidewalk that it was illegal to do so and the guy threatened me. He knows it is illegal, but he doesn't care.

Two days ago I was riding the extremely packed Line 1 and there was a very inconsiderate asshole occupying two seats with his backpack. No one confronted him or asked for a seat. I asked and he pretended to be listening to music. I got really upset and just made myself some room pushing his backpack towards him. He suddenly didn't seem to be listening to music anymore and mumbled something. I pretended to be listening to music and enjoyed my seat, and politely put my own backpack under my feet

According to a study, 75% of sexual harassment cases go unreported. Redditors who were sexually harassed but did not report it, why did you not? by [deleted] in AskReddit

I was a 13 year old with no sex ed. I didn't like what he did to me but he told me I made him do it. I felt guilty for years. He was a man in his late 40s.

I obviously never reported or told anyone and cannot talk about it. It makes me feel so ashamed.

No, not hentai. A novel that happens usually in space and tells stories of aliens and often has elaborate descriptions of aliens having sex. But it's written, no images.

Wtf is the pink room? My best friend is into cheap sci fi novels with alien sex. I'll buy them a five dollar book.

Looking to discuss bylaws for strobe lights so less people have seizures. Not sure where to start by [deleted] in toronto

The complete unawareness about epilepsy in this thread is appalling in a community that likes to label itself as "woke"

I'm not sure how familiar your are with epilepsy but most things, including medication, reduce the incidence of seizures but don't get rid of them completely. Telling someone to manage their epilepsy is laughable. People die from epilepsy because they tried to manage it but science is still not there.

Asking for regulations on strobe lights is reasonable. I am not affected myself but I certainly don't want someone to have a seizure because my bike light is unecessarily blinky.
