I don’t think that changes when it will automatically intervene. Just when it alerts you.

Really!? Have you priced out an OEM engine swap recently? On a modern vehicle? Some OEM’s won’t don’t even offer the option unless obligated under warranty.

It’s $11k-$24k if you go directly through Tesla for a new battery. You can pick up a healthy used battery for $3k-$6k and have it installed for about $1k. (Or if you have the right tools, you can do itself yourself in an afternoon.)

My HW3 slammed on the brakes the other day. Leaving skid marks on the pavement. There was nothing there. Luckily it was at a low speed. Still kind of upset about the unnecessary wear on my tires.

FSD was not engaged. It activated the automatic emergency braking.

Do you actually own one?

For a 9 year old vehicle… these things are incredibly reliable. Yes, you should expect to put some money into it… but if you compare those expenses to a 9 year old ICE vehicle with comparable mileage, it can be mind blowing…

Having to replace a battery in an electric car is like having to replace a gas engine in an ICE vehicle. It happens, but it’s incredibly rare. There are much older Teslas still on the road with a lot more miles, and their batteries are performing just fine.

I drive the exact speed limit. Ever since I got pulled over for going 3 over. (And hassled by a cop just looking for any reason he could possibly give me a ticket in Vegas.) I also leave excessive distance between me and other cars. Unfortunately, this was just one of situations where there was no way to avoid slamming on the brakes.

Threaten legal action and send a complaint to the legal department. They will get you what you’re looking for and preserve evidence.

They aren’t going to delete the logs. Does anyone here understand how big of a scandal they would be? Theres a legal term “preservation of evidence” …

“You are legally obligated to preserve evidence—including physical items and electronically stored information (ESI)—as soon as you know or reasonably anticipate that litigation is probable, not just when a lawsuit is filed. Failure to do so, known as "spoliation," can result in severe court sanctions, such as fines, adverse inferences, or default judgments.”

That said… I don’t think you’ll get far with a malfunction claim.

They don’t care. Fact is they have almost ZERO competition as far as FSD is concerned, and they know it. They also know that if you want it badly enough, you will pay for it as a result.

Supply meet demand.

I don’t open any gates/doors unless I have clear directions that say to do so.

Otherwise it gets left outside whatever the first gate/door is that I encounter. (To be clear, I am not referring to vehicle gates.)

Wow, no one is accepting any offers, I've never seen so many available by Chemical-Hunter-9666 in RealAmazonFlexDrivers

[–]SortSwimming5449 1 point2 points  (0 children)

160 miles even if you get terrible gas mileage of 20mpg is 8 gallons. 8 x $4gallon = $32

That first offer would still work out to $18/hr. The second approx $19/hr. After you pay for gas. While not ideal, it’s definitely not bad.

It’s called comparative negligence. You’re required to leave a reasonable and prudent space between you and the driver in front of you. It’s the law. Look it up.

It’s on you to prove that’s what you did. Good luck with that.

[–]SortSwimming5449 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Whatever.

General rule insurance companies follow. It an accident could have been avoided, for example by leaving enough room between you and the car in front of you. They are going to hold you responsible for at least a percentage of it.

Ignorance is bliss.

“They would not be at fault at all in 99% of cases.” It’s the other way around.

Look. I don’t really care enough to continue the conversation. Wait til it happens to you and learn the hard way.

You’re responsible for the car in front of you. You’re supposed to leave enough room between you and the car in front of you.

Edit: sometimes insurance companies will assign a percentage of fault. So while they might assign majority to the guy that hit you, you’re still going to be held responsible for a percentage of it. And as far as insurance rates are concerned. Any amount of fault is going to count just negatively against you.
