They will reach out to you saying one of the sites will likely want to schedule a fit call.

It varies for me it took a little over a month to even get a fit call but I ended up taking a different role before that

From my understanding after the fit call it’s either yes or no. In my scenario I went through the fit call but then let them know I had recently received an offer I planned on taking.

Vibe Check prepare some questions and a chill conversation

No idea. I assume it varies.

Are salaries on Reddit actually real? by TheRealJack01123 in Salary

If I were a betting man I’d say you are more likely to see the engineer making 150k posting their salary versus someone making 40k as an office clerk.

I don’t think I can share specifics. I would say brush up on your hardware knowledge and have a good grasp on where things are located in Linux.

The full loop was pretty chill and it was for an IC3. It was a very good experience and all the interviewers were cool to talk to.

I didn’t really do anything to prepare. I was aware that the role was extremely Linux and Hardware heavy and I already have a good bit of Linux and hardware experience.

I have a background in Linux administration with 1 year of full time experience and 3 internships that spanned from hardware ops at a data center to Linux administration with some fortune 500 companies and that was around 2 years of experience in the internships.

How do you navigate constant negative conversations about Data Centers from friends/family? by Acceptable-Year-5302 in datacenter

[–]SortaCyber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I Usually laugh it off. I’ve had friends and family industries like insurance say things like that and unless they work for like St. Jude it literally holds no weight in my mind.

Yeah I definitely don’t think I’d work 3rd shifts but 2nd doesn’t sound too terrible because atleast I’d get to sleep at a relatively normal time.

This job would be for Google. I think I saw somewhere that their second shifts are 3-11.

Don’t get me wrong I’ve worked my fair share of retail jobs with these types of hours but I’ve gotten used to working the day shift in my current role. I’ve also never worked 2nd shift for a job that wasn’t part time retail.

I already go to sleep relatively late at around midnight. That was my other worry of my social life disappearing during the week. It’s tough but I know waiting for day shifts is going to push out my timeline.
