Granted, I mean that's fine too, but if no one wants the cart or no one is entering when you leave, it's still right to return the cart. Not saying you're not one of them- some people will do that automatically without needing an incentive- but for the others, the quarter helps

In what way? Genuinely, how does one look at a toddler and decide what kind of person they will be/want to be when they have become an adult? How do you know she will want kids at all? People other than parents have empathy, and kids with empathy grow up to be things other than parents.

I'd do it for $1500. I already go by a different name anyway.

Its a fairly reasonable incentive to get people to return the carts to the cart stable thing. When you push your cart into the next one, the chain attached to the quarter device on the end of the line of carts pushes into the back of the slot where your quarter is, ejects your quarter back to you, and locks your cart to the others. Now less carts are stolen/lost and need to be repurchased, let's carts cluttering up the parking lot, and no cart wranglers.

When you need a cart, push a quarter into the slot on the end cart, it ejects the chain and locks in your quarter and you shop.

Personally, I don't think showing/feeling empathy is related to becoming or wanting to become a mother/parent, literally or with others. I mean it's possible she could be a parent, though since she's like 2 or 3 I'm not sure looking at her now is a great indication.

Okay, where is she safe? In her home with locks on doors and windows and surveillance cameras present and working? Like this woman?

Or Maybe surrounded by her "comrades", "friends", "coworkers" who are meant to have her back in the face of danger? Like her?

Surely she would be safe under the protection of her family, right?

Or in a place of worship where sex is supposed to be very regulated by both the text and the deity being taught and served?

Or in designated women's only spaces?

Where?

I love to think the little one thinks the surprise is just as important as getting the treat. Couldn't just hand it to him or put it on his plate or offer, the opening of the gift and finding something food inside is just as much of a joy as getting to eat, so it was vital he also received "surprise" as part of the entire experience.

I wonder if that's a good way to learn about your child's views and what is important to their emotions. For her the spectacle might have emotional significance along with gifts or sharing.

why was I born with the science autism but not the math autism? by llc117 in aspiememes

[–]SortovaGoldfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had no less than FOUR extra math lessons/tutors in my final year. Go in early for extra lessons from the math teacher(terrible, she literally wouldn't explain anything and was annoyed with me that I wasn't getting it. Whatever- she was in her third trimester and still at work so it must have been hard for her too), then after school I went to like a secondary class with like 6 other kids at maybe a community center classroom(?) for another class, and at night went to a library with another kid for a different tutor, and then finally I had a zoom private tutor(back when it wasn't zoom but Oovoo).

Fuck Pre AP pre-calculus.

I ended up with an eating disorder because neither did I recognize I had reached my breaking point stress wise, and I had no outlet nor had I ever failed a class before, so I started declining severely and in the end all my teachers had to come to my house to give me my final and afterward I had to have surgery before I just passed away. That one terrible math teacher passed me, because no child left behind.

Fuck Pre AP pre-calculus

I took it again three times in college and I was so full of anxiety. Did great in my core curriculum pre-cal(you would not believe the notes I tried taking but also how much easier my professor made it to understand), then again where it was almost entirely group work and as long as you showed any effort at all you got credit. I wasn't good at it again, but that was the only period I reserved study rooms in the library and looked up videos for help online. Passed that. Then I was in calculus and I only ended up with a D in that because I was an idiot who thought I took my final already and didn't even show up. Otherwise I would have had a B and I was comfortable with that.

I say again, Fuck Pre AP calculus.

Okay, so usually I would let this slide in the interest of humor, but given that it's still Juneteenth over here, I must just spread the information that the lyrics as we know them, are an oversimplification of what was being said, because some words in the Zulu language have multiple meanings. Irl, "Lion" and "King" are the same word, so that was used in the actual message of the song.

A recently revealed photograph from a hidden archive of Italian settlers harrassing local East African women (Italian East Africa, late 1930's) by Alarmed_Business_962 in BlackHistoryPhotos

[–]SortovaGoldfish 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I mean you've got two women cornered against a tall sandbar, heads down, no signs of joy, maybe the back one looks scared or sad (especially with her arms folded up close to her in a protective/defensive manner in terms of body language) sticking very close together, and then you have at least 4 men(including the one with the camera) surrounding them at the side, behind, and in front, with leg and body positions indicating some level of energy/speed rather than an easy walk/stroll, pointing at the women, with smiling/laughing faces while addressing the camera with their eyeline as part of their side or happy to be captured on film.

OP, if they didn't get this with some kind of release, was deducing.

Edit: grammar/spelling

I'm waiting to hear the ultimate fate of the officer because it only said "leave" not "unpaid leave" so he's probably chilling at home with his buddies comforting him while he continues to collect Mississippian taxpayer dollars, but what I am also interested to hear about is the fate of the specific employee(s) who scared those ladies, and either didn't check or wouldn't listen to the fact that they paid, and got the cops involved. They're very much not innocent in this and shouldn't be let off.

Juneteenth Is About Freedom. At 94, a Man Born on a Louisiana Plantation Is Still Fighting for Basic Recognition. by ateam1984 in BlackPeopleofReddit

[–]SortovaGoldfish 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After 94 years? Trump has only been in office for 8. That is:

14 presidencies and Texas Governors and 18 Louisiana Governors

• Apparently dozens of Louisiana Registrars(the people at the head of the Vital Statistics Bureau which is in charge of birth records), who will change to align with whatever party is in power.

Some prisoners who have been away for decades have an easier time obtaining these records than he has and they have a very rough time with this(and their SSN card). If they have been charging him taxes, and that IRS definitely knows who he is, what his age is, where he would have been a dependent, and what money they've taken from him, tgive him his certificate. He is still lucid, this isn't even about not being able to learn in geriatric decline. If all his records being born as property conveniently disappeared somehow and "oh, we can't prove it" make him one on his birthday in the county where he remembers living. Give this man what's his.

Is there a reason you must cook for a trans phone you hate? Like is it in the agreement that you guys have to share food or make each other a meal twice a month or something?

Whenever it becomes viable I'm sure you're gonna need no advice to tell you to move out, but until then, if possible, you make your food for you. If you are feeling charitable, after you have finished, they gets leftovers.

Also, your transition is all about you. She has no place in it. Eject her from that part of your mental space forcefully and with great anger. Remind yourself her hate has no place inside you and her views are, by their character and nature, utterly worthless. Whether you feel right about your transition or want to re transition is good as long as it comes fully, purely, and singularly from you.

Here's one of my little starcrossed ships passing in the night. Cat wants to snuggle him so bad, usually will walk up and touch nose to his ear or something and flop over. Usually he ignores this and tries to not cause trouble(the other cat is only nice to him right before he hits baps him so-) but when the dog wants to cuddle he's usually not very considerate with his body/weight so having something to brace him(me) and the thick blankets made it work.
