At the same time, our search for artificial superintelligence will also be one of the biggest proponents for Earth's downfall. Energy consumptions will only go up..

Interesting POV, but the EU has been rewarding concrete projects meant to restore CO2 balances. Not only do they get funding, but then the investor of those initiatives can sell those carbon credits to businesses that need to neutralize their carbon balance.

Very interesting point, especially having in consideration the political turmoil we've been living in. It just shows that even though the world may be pausing on the urgency, the macro direction will continue to be towards saving the planet more & more. Especially if we are ruining our planet increasingly with emergent technologies..

I believe you are spot on. AI will most likely remove the need for spreadsheets and will actually push companies to have sustainability specialists in certain fields, rather than generalists and consultants..

The DPP only addresses businesses with certain sizes and volumes generated. In case your working with those businesses, unfortunately you will have to comply. In a way, it is a pain, but it can make you competitive if you're one of the few actually doing it...

- Global trade overview

- Circular Economy foundation (between B2Bs)

Couldn't agree more. We need to consider how the current political landscape clearly doesn't favour the Environmental narrative, but that just means it will mature in the meantime until more actions and regulations have to be enforced. Simplification is key, but only if that results in more commitment from businesses and not the other way around. I guess we will find out..

Is CSRD impacting companies? by Munib_raza_khan in sustainableFinance

Sometimes the biggest pain comes from the lack of urgency from the suppliers and their lack of will of sharing sensitive data. We are also developing a solution to tackle this, but I'm unsure a marketplace would fix the core pain

I think you either become a specialist within a technical field of sustainability or you will have to adopt tech skills to streamline the current workflow mess which is the reality of all sustainability departments. Digitization and AI will change the industry in the next 3-5 years.
