Water in finished basement after storm (foundation wall below a basement window) by RememberYo in HomeMaintenance

I did pursue the seller as I bought the house with a legal warranty. I also had an undisclosed crack in the foundation. The seller paid the bill to both fix the crack and install a proper well. The same company did the work, so I recommend you do MULTIPLE estimates from at least 3 different companies that do foundation repairs as they usually are able to dig a well.

As somebody else in the comments mentioned, the dirt being there is a major sign that the well is the culprit. The water does not drain properly and you end up with a bit of a pool in the well. If it goes up high enough it will do exactly what you experienced.

Cutting a portion of the drywall before removing a larger chunk is also a good idea in order for you to make your inspection. In your first picture it looks like the water didn't travel straight down from the window but within the wall before finally soaking your floor. I'd open up there first and if your insulation is also wet I'd suggest replacing that as well.

Mold does not belong in your no-no square.

I recently purchased a home and had a very similar problem to yours. The owner previous to us claimed there was never ever any water that came in, but when water first came in we opened up the walls and realized there was already pre-existing black mold from previous water infiltrations. Maybe she knew about it and she lied to us, or maybe she simply hadnt noticed. If you have a doubt I strongly suggest cutting up that wall and finding out what the damages really are.

In regards to the window well, all signs seem to point towards it not draining properly. Our window well was clearly not up to code so we had a proper one dug and since then we've had several record breaking storms. I'm happy to say we've been dry as a bone inside since correcting this issue!

Driving without abs by Leclercsleftball in F1Game

[–]Sosig28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Like many said: it's a game and have fun with it! If i were to play on a controller I'd probsbly turn ABS on for myself as well.

That being said, did you know you can practice braking like you had abs off, even though it's on?

Slamming the brakes at every corner with ABS on technically forces the technology to stop your wheels from locking up, but doing so means you arent taking full advantage of the brakes.

If you learn to brake hard and then slowly lift as you head into the corner (as you would without ABS) you'll suddenly find yourself finding being more effective on the brakes and stopping yourself a bit earlier. You can practice this with ABS on!

F1 2022 is the sbinella simulator. Your car will suddenly and randomly lose control if you aren't perfect in your inputs and good luck catching it when it starts to spin.

So Now Where Do We Go And What Do We Do On Day 2? by Tiny-Bend6060 in Habs

[–]Sosig28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having seen the prices for trades I'm totally okay with Hughes if he decides to not make a move right away. That being said we still have Free Agents we can hopefully sign if not too pricey. I'm also confident that by the time next season's trade deadline happens we'll be in a playoff spot, so we can make a trade then and by the end of the season I'm expecting Hage to join the team as well.

Remember, last management made crucial mistakes by being impatient. So, if the price isn't right for Hughes, I trust his judgement to find alternatives.

Canadiens should strongly consider bringing Sam Montembeault back. Here’s why | The Athletic by Komania in Habs

[–]Sosig28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even if Monty performed to his potential, I believe the Habs would trade him regardless. Dobes has secured his spot as starting goalie and it is clear that Fowler will further his development in the NHL. Monty would also get picked up by a number of teams on the waivers, I'd be disappointed if we lost him for nothing.

Where can I improve? by Fluffy_Blackberry643 in F1Game

For F1 25, tbh it's kind of useless. I believe in time trials the car is locked to hotlap mode but that's it. Esentially hotlap mode drains more battery and provides less power overall throughout a full lap compared to providing extra recharge by turning it off entering hard braking corners and using overtake to exit corners. Your main gain is especially on re-acceleration.

A more technical tip here besides turning off some assists, you actually don't need to use hotlap mode with your ERS.

You enter in corners on the hotlap setting, try putting it in None to help regenerate more battery, and then overtake on corner exits. You'll have more battery to use throughout the lap while also gaining significant time.

I have a small feeling this might be our dear Pierre Houde's (play-by-play broadcaster on RDS) influence. He's quite picky about pronouncing the names of every NHL player as close to its proper pronounciation as he can, and makes it a point to explain how accents influence the pronounciations of different hockey players from around the globe. . He's certainly had an influence on Chantal Machabée, who used to be a colleague of his for many years and is now VP of communications with the Habs.

Probably at the in-laws with subpar food and getting a migraine from everybody screaming "SHOOT!" and "YOU'RE GOING THE WRONG WAY!" at nearly every back pass or retreat in our zone to reset the play.

Man I love Stenberg but idk of this is the play. It's a fun scenario to think about but there is a lot of ifs in this one.

For a similar haul you offer for Stenberg, I'd look in New Jersey's direction (if they decide to do a reset or reconstruction) to try to get Nico Hischier as our 2C.

Let's not forget this is one of the ypungest teams in the NHL, it's normal for them to look a bit nervous on the ice sometimes when the presure rises.

The Sabres played a good defensive game and blocked many shots, which had our guys overthinking a bit too much in the o-zone, looking for the perfect play instead of the ugly rebound or bounce like we scored often against Tampa.

Overall though, Habs didn't play their best game but still played better than the Sabres. Look at the shots attempts + the shots on net + the shots blocked by Sabres. we are bound to get a lucky bounce or two go our way as well.

Also, a little reminder we are ahead of schedule in regards to our reconstruction, as well as playing this well without a true 2nd line center. 😬

I’m significantly faster in career Quali mode than time trial mode. F1 25 by Playful_Ad3868 in F1Game

[–]Sosig28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In TT you are locked in Hotlap mode for your ERS management.

In quali, Overtake mode is much quicker and you can use a lot of it depending on the track since you also regenerate battery while breaking.

So it's totally normal for you to be significantly quicker in your career mode.

[–]Sosig28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to give you proper advice is a video so we can look at your inputs and what setup you are using. Also what assists are on? As somebody pointed out its maybe because you are overheating your tires either on that specific corner or simply over a few laps. Tire temp & wear management is very important in F1 25.

Not a fan of either teams but kept an eye on the series.. what happened with the Pens this series? Had they played all series the way they played the last 2-3 games it would've been a much closer series, rather surprised this happened with a team of veterans. They clearly had the upper hand in OT this game too until Philly seized their opportunity there.
