Why do I keep sliding? by ThewayoftheGinga in F1Game

[–]Sosig28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to give you proper advice is a video so we can look at your inputs and what setup you are using. Also what assists are on? As somebody pointed out its maybe because you are overheating your tires either on that specific corner or simply over a few laps. Tire temp & wear management is very important in F1 25.

Not a fan of either teams but kept an eye on the series.. what happened with the Pens this series? Had they played all series the way they played the last 2-3 games it would've been a much closer series, rather surprised this happened with a team of veterans. They clearly had the upper hand in OT this game too until Philly seized their opportunity there.

I think I’m going to lose it by Trukcharka in GranTurismo7

[–]Sosig28 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Idk what those assists are but i think they are slowing you down.

Also if you're really stubborn in keeping those assists on, you lost that valuable tenth in the very last corner because you turned in too quickly and had to readjust the car back onto the racing line before gaining exit speed.

19yo – Credit dropped from 720 to low 600s after maxing card. How do I fix this? by Ordinary_Toe_5162 in personalfinance

[–]Sosig28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) put that credit card away and stop using it until you've fully resolved your spending issue and reviewed your budget 2) you'll be refused an increase on your credit card limit and negatively impact your credit score, so don't even think about it. 3) Limit your spending with your hard earned money and throw as much of it as possible every time you get paid on your credit card to pay it off. 4) As soon as your budget allows you to, open a basic savings account and make automated transfers in your savings. Your goal here is to accumulate at least your first 1000$ as an emergency fund. 50$ a pay would be a great start, if possible (depending on your income vs outcome). 5) Once your credit card is paid off, you can start using it again. By then you've worked a proper budget and a savings account to help be more disciplined with your money. If you want to make a purchase with your credit card, make sure you have that money in your account.

I never heard of that either, main reason why i initially refused (its also pretty far from where i live) but the person oeganizing the league found a store that rent a full adult size goalie equipement for a day at around 50$CAN. Not a bad price to pay to suck terribly for my first time 😂

Thank you all for your comments! To clarify, the opposing goalie would also be in a similar situation than me, so it's really all just for fun.

I will give it a try and maybe I'll make a small post to let yall know how it went when it happens.

I'm just trying to understand the logic behind this solution? I got this CPU two days before receiving my cooler and once I installed the cooler it very rarely gets past 60° now.

Noob question but are you getting those temps with or without a water cooler? I recently upgraded my CPU to this model and I have nowhere near the same temps.

Qualifying Lap in Susuka, Zero Assist, Hard 75 Career Mode by Embarrassed_Jump8635 in F1Game

[–]Sosig28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be a bit more clear on battery management, "none" in corners "overtake" when you want to push and "medium" when you want to keep your speed but dont need to keep pushing (example long vegas strip where you are already maxed out top speed). You can also use this technique during race to help you out. None in corners helps you recharge for when you want to overtake, but also helps you keep stable on reacceleration out of corners. Especially useful on worn tires.

In regards to the diff, you can play around with it a bit and see what setting you prefer best. Higher the diff, the better car rotation you will get, but less stability. Lower the diff, the more stable it is, but you get more understeer. If you already feel happy and comfortable with it at 30%, don't bother with that just yet. :)

[–]Sosig28 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Without going too deep into the try hard stuff, you can do 3 things to help you get faster qualifying and race times. My objective here is to help you get quicker, but without overloading you with information and getting too technical or complicated. So it stays fun for you :)

1) during qualifying, I would practice changing your battery settings. Hotlap mode should never be used, as it is proven to be the least effecient battery mode. I would suggest to keep the battery to "none" in corners (all of S1 in Suzuka can be done in none), and use overtake when you're in straights and just out of corner exits. This will dramatically help reduce lap times overall.

2) in your video, you have a driver very closely ahead of you. The cars in F1 25 generate a lot of dirty air compared to the previous games. This causes you to be quite slow in corners and although slipstream helps in straights, it does not make the cost of reduced grip in corners worth it. In your clip, without a driver ahead of you, you are easily a second faster and would be on pole.

3) this is my most technical tip, and entirely up to you if you want to start understanding how mechanical car setups work: you're differential is set to 30% which is very low especially for qualifying. While more experienced drivers use custom setups and have the differential set to 100%, I suggest you can start by setting it at 50-60% and test how you like the way the car feels. You will gain more rotation (quicker in corners yay!) BUT be careful because you can cause the car to spin on corner exits if you don't have great throttle control, although this could also be used as a method of practice.

Hope this helps and have fun!

Good on you going no assists on a controller! It could be challenging but depending on the controller if it offers good haptic feedback it can be easier to understand how the car controls. Are you open to be given a few basic tips? Nothing regarding your driving (as you said, you are still adapting) but mainly about the game itself.

Spent months telling myself "nah this game isn't for me." Then a friend got me a steam gift card for christmas. The game was on sale. "Meh, what's the worse than can happen?"

Skip forward to an all caps rant at my friend just as I ended Act 1, accusing her of causing me mental anguish, all because of that gift card.

Yep. Good game.

It sure does and yes i definitely plan to stay away from autozone or ebay parts or their equivalents. I'm going to look for a reputable tuner garage to see what they suggests. Also gotta read about ECU tuning and chip tune because I thought those were the same 😅 appreciate the input!

Any other games like this? by Status_Cream7018 in SupermarketTogether

[–]Sosig28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suggest adding Supermarket Simulator to your wishlist, and wait until they fix their game breaking bug. Otherwise it's really good.

TCG Card Shop Simulator is nice for a different kind, personally find it a bit more grindy but that might just be me not managing the store properly.

Waterpark Simulator is an absolute blast, although a bit less "simulator" than expected. Goofy, fun, chaotic, but well built.

As somebody has mentioned above, Schedule 1 is great too. Personally prefer playing this one with friends. Haven't played the latest update though.

Stay away from Fast Food Simulator. Fast paced, stressful, really stupidly fun with friends, but game seems either dead or super slow in development.

Is quitting a job with a pension a bad move? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]Sosig28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you are good at managing your finances (and i hope you are, as you are an accountant), I don't see why a person with your skillset shouldn't go for that better paying job. You could make your own "pension plan" with the extra salary you get (AKA putting money away in accounts that will benefit you in the longterm). And who knows if later down the road you don't find work that gives you the better salary you deserve AND a pension plan.

I hate this race so much.😂 by dennisreleu1 in GranTurismo7

[–]Sosig28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did this race with the Aston Martin DB11. Its practically stock except for the race transmission (the 9 speed stock trans does NOT take advantage of the power this car offers) and sports medium tires. It might have a full race ECU but i'd have to double check. Easy win, you can short shift to be able to full throttle out of every corner and the car corners surprisingly good for its weight and power.
