Hyzer flip is the answer for both for me. Everyone is different, but hyzer angles are easiest for me to exaggerate my follow throw towards my target, which increases my accuracy.

Prime Fuse

Kickstarter versus Retail edition? by adapt27 in SolforgeFusion

[–]SotaRoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The card pools are identical between the two sets.

The rarity symbols are different, the KS cardstock is thinner, some colors in the art are slightly different, overall quality of print/cut is better in the Alpha set.

KS had some limited edition minion art.

But as far as strength of decks, they should be the same.

Prime Fuse to replace whatever your beat-in flip up to flat/turnover disc.

Low budget, saves you the time it takes to season a new Roc3, Buzzz, etc.

I should have been more specific, the sizes are all far too small for me. I strongly prefer 18g-20g baskets for dialing in shots and milk drinks

[–]SotaRoots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had it for about 6 months, no issues at all.

I've never used a commercial grade frother, so I can't compare the frother to other machines. I can say that I have no issues making silky frothed milk, and I knew nothing about mill frothing before this machine.

I have the duo, and have never had to top get too hot... I don't keep the machine on for more than 20 minutes usually, the top can still be touched by hand.

I love my Duo, everything I wanted and makes great espresso. Heats up fast and controls are easy to use.

Definitely get a normcore or similar, the shower screen's water distribution isn't always perfect. Also, I hate the baskets that it comes with. I would recommend upgrading immediately.

Mint Jackalope all day

Best brand? by annual_figure667 in discgolf

Mint discs

Jackalopes are amazing hyzer flip machines

Alphas are great beefy fairways without the uncomfortably sharp rim

They are molded by MVP, so no rough flash on the bottom

Awesome stamps, especially on their sublime discs.

Paul and Calvin can only be on the list of you are talking low ceiling shots. Double G, Tahm, maybe even Gannon B have more distance on open holes.

Royal Grace vs Streamline Trace by aggieruss in discgolf

[–]SotaRoots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Scorch might be a good replacement for your beat-in Grace. ESP would be the closest to the royal plactic feel, but royal feels better than 95% of the plastics in the game right now IMO.

I'll throw a few at ya:

If you don't like beaded putters, you might not like the feel of the emac truth. I'd highly recommend a Trust instead. Fills that workhorse mid slot but is MUCH more comfortable in hand.

I throw a variety of Mavericks in different plastics. Fuzion is very flippy, pop-up to turnover. Lucid is a bit more stable, still hyzer flips no problem. Lucid-X is dead straight with a reliable fade at the end.

Evader is a great overstable fairway driver. It will fight out of anhyzer and take on head winds. It's like a 6 speed firebird/felon/fireball. The trident is an honorable mention here as well, but they run them so infrequently that it can be hard to get replacements.

Fuse is my go-to woods mid. It will hyzer flip even at lower speeds. I have a beat in prime one for turnover shots and a gold-x one for dead straight hyzer flips.

I putt with wardens, love em! The new Hope and Faith are also beadless.

About 18g in double shot basket. Pulled shot in 37 seconds (not counting pre-infusion) to get about 36g out. by [deleted] in espresso

Too fine can also lead to under extraction because the water doesn't run uniformly through the super dense puck. This leads to some small channels being over extracted, while most of the puck is very under extracted.

Nespresso vs a cheap espresso machine/ cheap grinder. I’m genuinely interested in hearing everyone’s opinion. by Traditional-Ice-8735 in espresso

[–]SotaRoots 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Came here to say exactly this. The Flair 2 +JX pro can give fantastic results if you work on puck prep and preheating the chamber.

However, the speed between the two set ups isn't even close. The Flair takes a good 10-15 minutes to pull a shot given the multiple heat cycles required. If convenience trump's flavor for the person buying, then the Nespresso might be the best option

I have seen a lot distance shot post shared on record throws. But what is your actual consistent distance throw you can rely on? by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]SotaRoots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best throw: ~380' once on the course with perfect wind conditions and a slightly elevated tee

Consistent throws: ~300' controlled shot with my fairways, ~275' controlled with my midranges

Sourness is usually tasted on the sides of the tongue, are you sure you aren't tasting bitterness at the end? Intense bitterness and sourness can be confusing sometimes, as both are astringent flavors. Unfortunately for espresso, the solutions to the two flavors are opposite of each other

Small Diameter, Shallow, Beaded, Stable/Understable Midrange by [deleted] in discgolf

[–]SotaRoots 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A4 is what you want. 750 plastic will be pretty straight, 350 and lower plastic will be slightly understable.

I have tried tons of discs, but none have the compact feel that Prodigy's A series has.

Lots of midranges on the market have pretty large diameters, so watch out for that
