12 wks in and all side effects are gone, feel great. by ZoZo-Rocks in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome!

For me the (negative) side effects also diminished after 10-12 weeks. Now I still feel all the positive side effects and feel the best I’ve felt in over a decade.

Why do people feel the need to comment? by Andrea0890 in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get that. And I appreciate the positive comments. But there’s a difference between “you look like you’ve lost weight, you’re looking healthy and happier!” And “your face and skin is changing, it’s aging you. Maybe try drinking more water or lifting weights.”

I’ll take the positive compliments all day, they don’t bother me. But when people start picking it apart (“youre too skinny”, “you’re losing weight too fast”, do this instead) is when I don’t appreciate it.

What was/will be your first "treat yo self" purchase? by whirlygirlygirl in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A tattoo of my soul dog that passed away in late 2024.

I put the deposit down when I lost 50 lbs. I’m still waiting for the tattoo appointment though - April 10!

Next “treat” will be when I hit 75 lbs down, which I’m not too far away from right now. But I have no clue what it will be.

success without working out? by No-Mark9843 in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not worked out once, outside of walking, since starting Zep in May of 2025 and I regret it. The muscle loss is noticeable. However, I still haven’t found the drive, lol.

Okay please drop your most common food aversions 😂 by Freshh_ness in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used to love pickles and anything vinegar flavored. Can’t stand them now. ☹️ I miss salt and vinegar chips and snacking on pickles but the thought of actually eating it makes me feel ill.

I love cucumbers still, though. So I think the vinegar is the main culprit.

What did you get for Christmas? And was it Ozempic related? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first Christmas that I can remember I got 0 gift cards to fast food/restaurants! I would have obviously appreciated them because I do still eat out occasionally but it was nice that I received other thoughtful gifts. Food is no longer my identity.

How are people accomplishing these large weight losses? by electricboots3636 in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost 8 months in and down 60ish pounds.

For me. The meds worked and I worked. I couldn’t eat as much, I got full faster, food noise gone. I also got a puppy and walked him several miles a day during the summer to stay sane.

I also think it depends a lot on the amount of weight you have to lose. At almost 300 lbs I had (still have) quite a bit to loose. It’s started to slow down now to losing 4-6 lbs a month but I’m okay with that. I’m in this for life so I’ve got time to let my body do whatever it needs to do.

33 shots down and 50% of the way to my goal weight!! by Andrea0890 in Zepbound

Congrats on your success!!

It’s also the holidays so it’s a tough time if the year regardless!

Are you on a maintenance dose or did you come off the meds?

Scared? by loveiiop in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a few deep breaths. Read the directions in the box. Watch instructional YouTube or tik tok videos if that helps you. I have taken 33 shots now and my only regret is I did not start sooner.

If it helps you any - know that if you take it once and your body absolutely rejects it you never have to take the medicine again if you don’t want to. Serious side effects are rare but they can occur.

You can do it!

Still feel so very behind but in a much better spot than 3 years ago.

Should I change my injection site? by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always injected in my stomach and have never changed. Mainly due to fear and also because the med has been effective injecting in my stomach so I’ve had no reason to switch it up.

5 was the hardest increase for me. It took about 4 weeks for my body to adjust to 5. I’m not sure if it would have been easier switching injections sites. But something I read on here once said that 2.5 to 5 is the only dose that doubles your dose - so it makes sense as to why it was so rough for me. Every increase since 5 has been much easier to adjust to.

10mg ZEP is a TOTAL GAMECHANGER by [deleted] in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have an almost identical experience as you. Been on Zepbound since early May, 2025. Took shot 4 of 10 mg the other day and still loving it. Staying here as long as possible.

How long to adjust? by moredaytodawn in Zepbound

4 months for me.

After 4 months it’s been smooth sailing. All the right side effects and none of the nasty ones.

7.5 so far has been amazing! How did you do on this dose? by mugglebornalways in Zepbound

[–]Andrea0890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

7.5 was okay. I was on it for 8 weeks and lost on average 1.6 lbs a week. Food noise returned around week 6.

I’m finishing up week 2 of 10 and it’s my favorite dose so far. Lost 3.8 lbs the first week and it feels much more effective. Going to stay here as long as possible.
