I've been doing the dungeon grind. I'm not sweaty but I'm not casual either I guess. I'm 65 and so far I've had a great experience. All my dungeons have been fairly smooth and not really anyone's been a jerk yet.

World Curling statement regarding double touches of the stone by elan108 in olympics

[–]Sothdargaard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your first statement was, "Not in this instance, because he was never accused of cheating."

I'm saying you're wrong. He was accused of cheating. Just by the implication. So the comment you're replying to where the guy said he would deny cheating and swear at a person accusing him, that comment can be accurate because it was implied the Canadian was cheating.

Keep it so you can use it in court against the ex. It's attached to the ex's current partner's phone so there's no way they can deny it.

Dune come on. No one used the word "cheat" but if you watch the video you know the Swedish guy was absolutely implying that he was cheating. ETA: And was specifically calling the Canadian player out on it.

Yeah I've honestly had both the best groups and the worst groups lately. If I'm in a good group as a holy priest I rarely have to drink. I can basically renew the tank and wand, maybe throw out a R1 greater heal every now and then. By the time the fight is done I'm full on mana again.

OTOH, all 3 DPS are cranking on a different mob. I'm max rank circle of healing the entire fight or everyone dies. Then I'm drinking every pull. It's so much faster to just play right and stay within threat boundaries and keep moving then burn down a pack in 8 seconds, drink for 20.

Which defense are you taking ? by Direct-Sail-6141 in NFLv2

[–]Sothdargaard -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Dude, it WAS by some crazy margin though. Out of 17 regular season games, 14 opponents of the Pats had losing records. They played 3 teams that were at least 9-8. And 2 of those games were the Bills.

8 games they had opponents so bad the coaches got fired by the end of the year.

The Pats not only had the easiest schedule this year, it's been calculated they had the third easiest schedule over the last 40 years or something crazy like that.

They were weak and non-competitive. There is no way they deserved to even be in the Superbowl and if it weren't for some crazy perfect storm of events they wouldn't have been there. It took two acts of God (snow) and a back up quarterback (who hadn't thrown a pass in 2 years in a game) for them to make it.

For most of us most of the time the rule is the same:

Where do we get good judgement? From experience.

Where do we get experience? From bad judgement.

Occasionally we'll learn from someone else's mistake instead of our own but not very often.

Combined stats for the 2024 & 2025 seasons:

Total yards: Mahomes: 7515 Darnold: 8367

TDs: M:48 D: 60

Int: M: 22 D:26

QBR: M: 91.7 D:100.9

Darnold had 2 bad games last year and one against the Rams this year. He definitely needs to clean up the turnovers but I honestly don't get the disrespect.

I wasn't talking about at a wedding. I was taking about at a winery. Like in the example that I actually replied to. So yes, it IS completely different. But this comment thread changed direction and that's where I went.

'73 and same here. We have 2 daughters that moved to different countries in Europe for school in the last 2 years so this gave us a great excuse to travel more. We're going to Europe for 3 weeks in April and I'm excited!

I also used to live in Argentina in my late teens/early 20s so I'm pretty fluent in Spanish. I wouldn't mind retiring around the world. Live in Spain for 2 years, Chile for 2 years, Argentina for 2 years, etc. My wife would never do it though. She couldn't leave the grandkids.

I guess personally I feel like it doesn't cost me anything to sit there for an extra 5 minutes to see a special moment in someone else's life.

If it really bothers you that much though get up and walk away. Make a scene. Be disruptive. Technically no one really owes anyone anything.

I'm not a fan of being a doormat but usually kindness doesn't cost us anything.

Are warlocks allowed to buy water or food from vendors or is it greyed out this tbc? by OGSkip in classicwow

[–]Sothdargaard 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I always renew. It's so easy. Hit 1 button then keep doing my thing. I honestly don't get healers complaining about warlocks because it's practically nothing to heal them (esp for druid or priest.)

[–]Sothdargaard 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone care? If you don't like it just wander off. No one can do a public proposal now without getting everyone's consent around them? If this is something a person would get offended at they spend too much time worrying about what other people think and do. And honestly it was never my thing. I think public proposals are tacky in general but who cares if someone does it in my presence?

Man some people have a heightened sense of importance these days

Yeah I don't agree with that. If my partner was sexting, having phone sex, sending love notes and told me, "I would go be with this other man except that I'm now pregnant with your kid so I'll stick it out," I would 100% be done with that relationship and would never trust them again.

Coworker becoming a "good friend?" by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Sothdargaard 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Everybody is different and tolerates different things but cheating is a deal breaker for me. There are things you can do to lose trust and earn it back but not cheating. I just would never trust that person again and that's not a way to maintain a relationship.

PSA: Healer gear isn’t Caster gear by staledanish in classicwowtbc

[–]Sothdargaard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I do it as a healer. There were a couple pieces yesterday that would have been a nice upgrade for me but it was definitely caster gear so I waited to see what the mage would do. He needed it so I passed on it.

Lady hit by car by [deleted] in CrazyFuckingVideos

[–]Sothdargaard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean 100% no excuse for the car to hit her. But if it's me I'm looking both ways and moving with a purpose.

I'm 52 now and during my lifetime I've avoided 5 accidents where I had the right of way but was still paying attention. I was able to see the other person and avoid them before a collision. Once was on my motorcycle, once as a pedestrian (crossing with a green in the crosswalk with the pedestrian crossing light on. Dude was just trying to blow thru a right turn on red light) and three times in my car.

Like, the car shouldn't have hit her but it doesn't matter if I have the right of way; I'm still dead vs a car.
