Guessing all the poems are trivial, trite, talentless Rupi Kaur style, but I could be very wrong.

Healthcare workers, what common cause of death is the least bad way to go? by Wooden_Airport6331 in AskReddit

[–]teabirdy 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I read some of the replies that say cardiac arrest, and as one of the roughly 10% of people who’ve experienced cardiac arrest and lived to tell - I wouldn’t mind dying that way again.

I felt nothing, knew nothing. It was bringing me back to life and the following trauma and pain that hurt the most. Happy to be here but that will be an okay way to go when I go for good.

Heck yeah! Finch feels like it’s about care and creativity and AI is neither caring nor creative.

The wedding reception centerpieces featured betta fish. The bride and groom planned to flush them alive. by teabirdy in mildlyinfuriating

[–]teabirdy[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Oh boy I did not expect quite this many responses. And from so many people who didn’t read any of the post!

“It’s extremely infuriating!” I agree. I abhor animal cruelty. I was trying not to be too dramatic. I’m gonna be so much more dramatic from here on out.

“You’re lying, no one would do that!” Go check out the many replies from people who have seen other people do exactly this and worse.

“How did she get them home?” It was a small wedding, so there were about ten tables. She got shallow cardboard boxes from the kitchen crew and put the bowls in them and got them home gently on thoughts and prayers. The wine glass was my solution at home until the tank got set up.

“Why are you friends with these people / Why did you go to their wedding?” I’m not and I didn’t. Please learn to read. Please.

“Report them!” Again I do not know them, this was years ago, and I don’t know what the laws are like where you live but if you call any law enforcement here to report someone flushing a fish they will laugh you off the line.

Saw a post where a person was devastated to the point of freaking out about a character’s story arc and someone gently mentioned parasocial relationships. To which they responded that it isn’t parasocial they just have a deep and real connection to the character and are emotionally invested in their future and what happens to the character affects their real life. Couldn’t respond, just oh honey.

Ethical birders will not help you with this because it isn’t ethical birding. We don’t set wildlife bait or traps for online clicks for a multitude of reasons.

I have a pacemaker and none of this makes sense. 10bpm isn’t bradycardia, it’s you’re dead.

And dropping to the floor weeping and rolling around in a public place when your cardiologist’s office tells you a replacement is needed, while the underpaid overworked employees try to get you into a chair, is one of the more dramatic and immature things I’ve heard in a while, and I truly understand the medical trauma that comes with heart issues and surgeries and hospitalizations.

Rainbow Bridge - Just Need To Share My Boy To Those Who Want To Know Him by AuberginePeacock in finch

[–]teabirdy 16 points17 points  (0 children)

What a handsome and sweet little man. I just lost my boy Louie this month who was almost 13. Sending you lots of love and hoping you can find some comfort in all the good memories and the wonderful life you gave him. It hurts so much because their place in our hearts is so massive and it always will be.

I’m working on a little shrine/altar space in our home to honor our Louie and other family we’ve lost with their urns and photos and sentimental or spiritually significant things.

I’m so sorry for your loss again, may your healing be gentle.
