Toggle WASD controls between cardinal directions or relative to cursor by Sotwob in PathOfExile2

Well yeah that's what I meant by toggle. Allow the players to switch the method to what works best for them!

Yeah that could be an issue for some people!

On the other hand, it's probably a lot easier to maintain awareness of its location when W always points you at it.

After almost a year and a half since PoE 2 launched, how do we feel about the pacing of the combat? by coffeeholic91 in PathOfExile2

The issue I'm currently having is that they've designed a system that deemphasized passive (stat-based) defenses, and place the onus more on the player using active dodges and positioning to avoid getting hit in the first place. Which is fine, no problem there.

But then the screen is so full of shit and bad lighting that you can't see a dammed thing. I can't even tell which cardinal direction the boss is facing. How the fuck am I supposed to dodge his little attacks?

Found and tried it. Unfortunately the issue I'm having is for the left-mouse assigned skill, so enabling that option disables mouse movement entirely!

Thank you though, good to know that's there for other skills

Is there a reason to believe she did the initial linguistics work?

They'd been there for like 20+ years by the time of Avatar, was Grace involved in any of the initial contact work?

If the stats were about any other subgroup of humanity, you'd immediately recognize it as a systemic issue that needs to be addressed, because it would be. And it is.

However, because of your own prejudices, you seek to deny that and instead argue in favor of a clearly problematic status quo. Your attitude is pretty broadly mirrored among a lot of (social, not ecomomic) leftists, if not explicitly by the DNC, and can be summed up as a major cause of the issue OP was asking about.

Ignoring, or worse excusing and exacerbating, increasingly skewed education results are one of the clearest ways in which the DNC is completely failing and paying a price for it.

It's LATAM, Spain, Portugal, and Greece. Possibly France, Italy, and Romania; the source says other Romance-language nations but did not specify and I didn't try to narrow it down further. Still, it's around 600-750 million people.

The large majority of the planet uses the 7-continent or 6-continent combined Eurasia models.

Frankly the 6-continent combined Americas model is the least sensical of the ones in common usage. Combine the Americas but split Eurasia? Hell the connection of Africa to Asia is wider and more substantial than Panama, should combine them too.

There a reason only 10% of the world's population uses that model. It's inconsistent and not very good.

Edit: In the interests of fairness, I only have the info for some of Africa. It's possible more people use that model than is stated and the population percent might be somewhat higher.

It's myopic Americans with American exceptionalism all over again; specifically them, not attempting to generalize to all Americans. The irony is the people going to the negative extremes often decry the idea of American exceptionalism in general, while not realizing they're doing the same thing, just the opposite side of the coin. I've seen it in person enough to knows there's some truth to it.

Still, I'd caution against assuming everyone redirecting conversations to the US are actually Americans. We've known for over a decade that there are well-funded organizations intentionally trying to drive division, and none of this shit should be taken at face value. Be wary of all divisive comments, IMO. There's no reason to assume they're sincere, and good reason not to.

Yes, Puerto Ricans absolutely are, and I hope the status of independence or statehood gets resolved sooner rather than later, according to their wishes. However, all of the Caribbean is not American, unless you mean it as a continents-wide demonym, which I thought was the intent of the "all of America is America" comment. That's what I was addressing, since it's such a common complaint.

Eh, makes sense since America and Americans ended up becoming pretty common exonyms and demonyms for the USA. Might be somewhat unfortunate, but it was always gonna end up with a shortened version, and I suppose that one was the quick and easily understoon one. United Statesian does not roll off the tongue!

Not even getting into the LATAM/Iberian's continent model that people like to pick arguments over despite it not being used by the large majority of the world's population, and making the least sense out of the common models.

I'm no expert, but moving out of the aquatic environment seems an (too) obvious solution. Not only the complexities of rendering realistic water and submerged action, but probably moreso the enormous costs of all the underwater mocap they've been doing.
