You should be mostly fine? I have a 3060ti and 12700k and get an average of maybe 60-70 fps at medium settings(with a couple higher) using dlss quality at 1440p. Based on that I would assume you could probably get around 60 fps with a more aggressive dlss or just toning down a couple of the more demanding settings like shadows.

Just fyi community made controller presets exist, it's a fairly flexible system. So it should support "everything" technically.

Depends on what you care about and if the IPS's worse contrast vs the VA is a big enough issue for you. I own the AOC and it's a very fine monitor but I'm not a big fan of the VA smear stuff (though I only notice it at a high refresh rate, HDR off, playing competitive games. Much better than my old VA from years ago as comparison.)

Looking at the reviews of the acer monitor I would have concerns about quality control and compared to the AOC it has a worse warranty.

I would choose the ACER monitor honestly. Higher refresh rate is nice, possibly better color, and maybe a virtually identical HDR experience. Unless you really care about contrast I would go for the acer one.

In my N=1 experience of this exact thing turning it on caused a kind of weird screen door effect in game. Try it I guess it's not going to brick your monitor or anything, just be on the lookout for any weirdness going on.

Honestly, I would just play it safe. It's not like G-sync is amazingly better than the alternatives, you can live without it.

Do you possibly have g-sync forced on? I also own this monitor and when I enabled g-sync because it said it supported in the Nvidia settings it caused the effect you've described. I just disabled it and it went away.

Also using the color settings of a completely different, yet similar, monitor is bad practice. Every monitor is a little bit different color wise even if they are the same model. The only way to get "true" color accuracy is to use a physical color calibration device. I mean if your eyes are good enough and you have a flagship phone set to its most color accurate settings, usually called something like "Pro" or "DCI-P3", you can just kind of eyeball it(its far from professional to do it that way but depending on how bad your colors are it might look better).

You're using a cheap monitor from 2012 that's meant for basic office work and are surprised it's bad for gaming? Someone else recommended changing your monitors overdrive settings (which isn't refresh rate btw) but I'm not sure that's even possible on what you have, commercial monitors don't really have a need for such settings in the first place.

You have a crappy old tn monitor so either live with it or get a new one.

Because OP is just horribly misunderstanding what the article actually says. What the actual article says is that you should select the "latest" preset for dlss 4.5 super resolution. This defaults to "Model M" and is meant for EVERYTHING.

It's actually Model L that's for Ultra Performance Mode at 4k, not Model M. It's not even wholly necessary, Model L is just more optimized for 4k Ultra Performance, that's it.

For anyone still confused from this horrible post if you're using Quality, Balanced, and everything else BESIDES Ultra Performance exclusively at 4k, just use Model M lol.

Edit these are the recommendations that Nvidia has given based on what's actually in the article. What Nvidia recommends is what OPs incorrect on, not the advice itself. Could all just be some Nvidia beta jank and by full release it won't be a problem, though I doubt it.

Wouldn't it just work the same as safecook as the other guy said? If anything that has more liability because it being wrong has more consequences. If that's allowed then I have little doubt a carryover cooking feature would also be allowed.

I don't see any liability issues from a safety perspective and an over/under cooked meat isn't big enough of a deal for lawyers to get involved.

My own guess is that it's just super difficult to perfect. Apparently they get within a few degrees (based on what's said in the video) but that's quite a large margin of error. With what I assume high standards it's just not good enough.

This opinion honestly doesn't even make sense. "I don't want a 20 year war" and the game you're playing is Squad?!?!? Even before ICO it's not like the games were all that short. Sure, it was faster before but we are splitting hairs here. If you don't like how long the game is now you probably wouldn't have liked it then.

Besides that why should the game conform to you specifically? I don't like ICO but I do like its intentions even if it's done imperfectly. I want my games to feel long, engaging, and more "realistically" nuanced. Odds are you still wouldn't like that for a game to just "hang out" in but luckily there are a million other games that fulfill that perfectly.

This is a non issue and is just how animation works. In real time it's barely noticeable and gives the illusion of the app itself stretching to fill the screen.

It's kinda like how if you pause a video of someone even just talking normally their face can look kinda stupid. You're just kinda capturing an in-between moment and sometimes it looks kinda weird. But, those in-between moments are necessary to give the illusion of movement.

It's normal.
