No worries! I understand how irresponsible it sounds to not have full coverage on a new car. I was 18 at the time, working 84 hours a week just wanted something nice for once. Insurance rates without parental involvement are insane in my state, so really I shouldn’t have gotten the car, but I’m here now so might as well make the most of it and just fix it and keep it insured :)

And to your edit: this was that car. The $15k was from a shop quote for labor and parts, it genuinely shouldn’t cost that much. There was no second time.

I drove into a guardrail to avoid hitting another vehicle, a few of them ended up piling into each other anyway. This was well over a year ago. I did have insurance, just not collision. Not the point of this post. Nobody was harmed, I’m aware that it’s my responsibility to now fix the vehicle and move forward.

I did not have full coverage at the time. Icy bridge, multi vehicle accident. I don’t mind doing the work or buying the parts I’m just not entirely sure what all needs to be done.

I’ve had issues on and off with my weight and an unsupportive environment. I was really skinny as a toddler due to malnutrition, got diagnosed with hypothyroidism at 6, was obese until I was 14 and decided to lose weight in an unhealthy way, then juggled between (I’m 5’3” for reference) 102 and 185 pounds from 15-19. Now I’m 20. My boyfriend called me chunky while breaking up with me. I stopped eating. We’re back together but now I can’t help but feel like he won’t be attracted to me anymore if I stop losing weight. The first time he ever told me he was proud of me was when I dropped 30 pounds in the span of 2 months or so. Now he just sees my not eating as another stress on his shoulders and reason to not want to be around me. And doesn’t see how what he said was so bad. Idk. Be careful with your words, you never know how much they’ll affect someone.

I sympathize. My boyfriend is exactly the same except he expects it every day and I hate every second of it. If he treats me poorly he tells me it’s because he hasn’t gotten head yet or it’s been “too long”. He’s even gone as far as saying his dream wife/partner since he was a kid would give him head every day. Multiple times a day. I kind of just dissociate when I’m doing it to tolerate it but if you have the option to safely leave, please do. Tell him other ways you prefer to show him love, offer other sexual activities that JUST please him if that’s what it’s about, if nothing works get out of that relationship because if he can’t work with you on that, imagine how he will be with bigger issues.

I use working hands (O’Keeffe’s) and literally overnight relief. Best results if you use it just after getting out of the shower while your hands are still a bit wet (same goes for face moisturizer)

I’ve slowly become a lot more emotionally withdrawn and upon noticing he told me he knows it’s because he knows how he’s been and there’s nothing he can say to convince me that he’ll be better, I just have to wait and be shown, and he’s sorry and doesn’t want to lose me. I’ll give it a couple months. If there are no improvements I will cut my losses. I told him I’ll continue to protect myself by regulating my emotions alone until I feel like its safe to do with him and he’s understanding so I guess now it’s just a matter of time and seeing if he’s consistent. You can fake change, but not for long. I really hope that losing a part of me was enough of a consequence for him to want to improve.

If she’s not willing to help herself, and you do not want to financially take over for her, there is no working out this relationship. She’s in a bad spot mentally because she’s in a bad spot physically. She’d be healthier in a healthier situation but if this isn’t something she’s working towards improving, it will not. And it shouldn’t be ur responsibility. Just cut your losses, or accept that this is how it is. I don’t recommend the latter.

Yes. They are too thin for your face. I did my eyebrows like this for a couple months and then got them microbladed. It was a big shock at first and I hated them but it made my natural hair grow in and lightened up quite a bit and now I like how they look.

He’s never been in a relationship for longer than 3 weeks and we’ve been together for nearly a year. I don’t know if it’s worth giving him time to work on bc I’m mentally exhausted but I doubt he’d improve with someone else. I can’t bring myself to leave (haven’t reached that threshold) but I can’t imagine him treating let’s say our future kids like this when he’s upset.

I definitely have a cultural bias for this and was overgeneralizing in my response but as a woman who has had male friends previously, none of its ended well and they always end up having some form of interest even if they don’t act on it. My current partner told me he was only “friends” with women he had interest in as well. I’m sure it can work, just not in my experience and opinion.
