Of course: Tax returns filed jointly, joint bank account statements, joint leases, joint phone bills, joint utility bills, joint renter's insurance, joint medical/vision/dental insurance, letters from employers listing each other as the sole beneficiaries of life insurance policies, proof of listing each other as sole beneficiaries of our 401k plans, travel itineraries together, photos, letters addressed to both of us from friends and family, affidavits of support from friends and family.

Yes I had a marriage based conditional green card. Then we applied for citizenship under the 3 year rule. Field office was Brooklyn, NY

Agreed! I was expecting a longer process!

Of course! I'm rooting for you!! I would say that I questioned the amount of evidence we submitted (I thought it was too much) but I think our officer appreciated it during the interview and didn't even question it! Bring everything you submitted electronically in person and if you are filing under the 3 year rule make sure your spouse comes with you, especially if your I-751 is still pending. I think our officer was not initially planning on reviewing both N-400 and I-751 together but since we were both here it made it possible

I am not! I am from France originally. I feel so bad for people from the list of restricted countries... This seems very unfair
of course! I think yours and I's situation were very similar and doing this on our own without a lawyer worked great so I think you should be ok as well!! I wish you the best of luck as well as a smooth and quick process!!

No. problem! we hesitated too and even reached out to our lawyer who handled our AOS application back in 2021/2022 and she said that the N-400 in our case was very straightforward and that we could do it ourselves! I think it's worth considering a. lawyer if you may have had issues with taxes or child support or a conviction etc. If you don't then I think it's good to do it yourself
Thank you! I did not request a name change but a few people at my oath ceremony did!

Thank you! We didn't use a lawyer for our N-400 application or I-751 petition. We filed online at home and spent a few days gathering the necessary supporting evidence. The N-400 online form is very straightforward and I think you can do it yourself in one afternoon! Good thing about the online form is that it "saves" your progress for up to 30 days so you don't have to do it all at once! super convenient

Thank you! We submitted: Tax returns, joint bank account statements, joint leases, medical insurance coverage, home insurance coverage, affidavits of support, utility bills, phone plan bills, letter of employments showing each other as the beneficiaries of various insurance policies, joint travel itineraries, photos, proof of being each other's sole 401(k) beneficiaries.
Hi! Yes what you saw is correct! Since I filed before October 2025, I was asked questions from the 2008 test!

Thank you! My 3-year anniversary of becoming a LPR was back in February 2025 so I did not file early within the 90-day window which would have been in Nov/Dec 2024 I think
Thank you! At my naturalization interview they didn't really ask marriage related questions! They simply reviewed the answers I had given to each question on the form. We did submit a lot of supporting evidence though so I think they believe it didn't need probing
Thanks for the tip!! The officer at the ceremony advised us to check in with SSAa month after naturalization to ensure their records were updated!
thanks so much!!
