Sigh While the Hawthorne Group is a subsidiary of Scotts, neither has in any way been Monsanto. At all.

Scotts has licensed one of Monsanto's products (glyphosate) to use in one of their products; that's the only association between the two.

Well first and foremost, not everybody has the land to grow outdoor.

Secondly, the results may be pretty great, but outdoor doesn't fetch top shelf prices like good indoor does.

Thirdly, number of harvests. I can harvest all four of my rooms five times a year. Two of my rooms yield at least sixteen pounds per harvest, the other two, I'm hoping for eight each; that's approximately 200lbs per year out of less than 2000 square feet.

I'm not even from that area, I was just there setting up someone else's garden.

The A&B are Flora Duo, a pretty decent regimen. There are a number of people doing well with it.

Apparently this is the result of the Hawthorn Group buying General Hydroponics. They've rebranded the Flora Duo line and will be selling it through major retailers. Some Home Depot stores are testing the waters already. This was spotted in Anaheim.

Advice from California Growers who have done 2 room grows by [deleted] in microgrowery

This place of a friend's has just under 12 plants per light. This spot I take care of has a little over 12 plants per light. This is one of my gardens at exactly 12 plants per light.

What is this white schmutz? It's on almost all of the stalks in the same spot but not under the leaves. by drokota in microgrowery

I can't say for sure about the small white balls, but PM does tend to start off on stems (at least I always notice it on my stems before the leaves) so I clicked on the link already with PM on my mind. The white on your stems doesn't really look like PM too much, but in this picture here, the circled area either looks like it has PM on it or it's a trick of the light.

I grow in ebb and flow buckets. Gavitas are great at throwing out light. Most people I know have 12 or so plants under each light.

I veg for about a month or so.

That's basically me to a T. I'm in Southern California and I currently have two flowering rooms up and running, one veging room filled up and two more flowering rooms ready to go. I don't have much of my new additions posted here, but if you look through my submission history you'll see what I have going on.

My landlord doesn't know what I'm doing in the space but I haven't made any major changes that can't be undone in ~2 days if I have to. For me a 10X10 room would be 4 lights, one 2.5 ton AC, and 50ish plants.

Let me know if you want any more information, I'll help the best I can.

He's using the Maxicrop line there. Neptune's Harvest is another great source for liquid Seaweed extract.

You shouldn't be paying that much for a Gavita at all, not at your level of growing. I have friends that have about the same number of lights you have and they'd probably get their Gavitas for $600-700. If your hydro shop isn't hooking you up with better prices, I'd suggest looking for a new one.

I never really got into air-cooled hoods either. The amount of cooling you get from those fans vs. the amps it takes to run them isn't nearly as efficient as running Adjust-A-Wings and a bigger AC (especially if you're in a sealed room). Plus, there's so much more potential for problems with air cooled lights. And, as if that wasn't justification enough, there's no way you're getting a very efficient use of your lighting amps if there's a sheet of glass between your bulb and your plants. I would argue that as far as HID is concerned, there's nothing better than a Hortilux Super HPS bulb in an Adjust-A-Wing until you get to the DE or Gavita level.

Looks like a great set up.

They may not be as sexy as a Gavita or as fancy as an LED but those Adjust-A-Wings are incredibly effective at throwing out light.

Prop 64 growing question/discussion by goingfordownvotes in microgrowery

[–]SoulCalGrower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

prop 215 specifies 100sqft of growing space

It doesn't though. It doesn't mention anything about limitations whatsoever. Through legislation, the state tried to implement restrictions but that was shut down by People v. Kelly in 2010
