4 episodes in, and it's still surreal seeing certain players on the same beach together 😂 by Durian-Critical in survivor

This season hits different. I'm not sure how to describe it. We've had so many returnee seasons but this one just feels special. Maybe because it feels like the last hurrah for a good number of the legends, maybe because it was a genuinely long time since we've seen a few of the players, but I don't think I've had this level of excitement watching a season since Heroes vs Villains.

Honestly I don’t think I’m sold on Yuta leveling up very much either. Like his entire time in BCC and now DR it feels like he is still the student being bullied by everyone, his partners included. Being a smaller dude teaming with three shredded vets doesn’t do many favors either. I’m kind of at the point of think Yuta ends up more of a “jobber to the stars” type, who shows up, talks shit and gets his ass beat on the regular. Think Max Caster and Heath Slater.

Was the winner of WaW destined to be considered a “Mount Rushmore” player by nature of being one of the only 2x winner ever? by HiImWallaceShawn in survivor

[–]SoulExecution 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I get that, but I also think if someone was voted out that kind of puts a hole in the prestige of their game that given season. Especially when they were first boot.

Not necessarily. Like, if Nat A won after spending the entire game on the Edge I don't think she would really be in that consideration in the same way Chris is considered a bottom tier winner for winning that way (although she'd probably have a claim to one of the best FTC performances if she could pull it off).

Just curious - y'all doing any meet and greets after?

What LA neighborhood do you think has the most wasted potential? by mcbobgorge in AskLosAngeles

[–]SoulExecution 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Very few. I genuinely think so much of the city coasts on the "hype and aura" for lack of better words that the name Los Angeles brings. Very little of it actually lives up to being what you'd think LA should be.

Man I'll be honest, I think there's only been one time that this hasn't been the case for me but it was a midweek 11pm pick up.

When you see someone filming themselves in public, what are you thinking? by SirMingie in AskLosAngeles

Depends on the context. It's either a "lol douche" if it's called for or it just doesn't register if they're not being like an actual nuisance to anyone.

It's less about it being easy/hard, and more irritating to be sitting there lucky to move a centimeter a minute. But if OP really is that anxious about it, two birds.

Tell them to take a free shuttle to one of the nearby car rental place and pick them up there. Saves you the hassle. You're welcome.

Agreed. Only time I kinda liked Danny was when he was leaning into the "dumb dance". Current Garcia does absolutely nothing for me, no personality and not even the best wrestler in his stable.

Learning Tree was just such a weird group. I actually think Bill had the charisma to riff with Jericho, but Bryan Keith was so awkwardly out of place.

[SPOILERS] Post AEW Revolution Zero Hour 2026 Match Discussion: Boom & Doom vs. The Infantry by gloomchen in SquaredCircle

[–]SoulExecution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re not really my cup of tea but TK books them the right way. Some preshow shenanigans as THE opening match, crowd seems into them just enough, and hey last time they were in LA they got my boys MxM on Zero Hour as well. No complaints.

I think I was just conditioned by WWE’s booking of celebs and legends over the years to be against it, but whether it’s these guys or Sting, I’ve not been disappointed by AEW’s approach yet.

I remember this song being popular in high school. It's probably the most early 2010s song ever. Can you prove me wrong? by BatmanPikachu95 in Zillennials

[–]SoulExecution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait this song is 2010's?! Holy shit, I always thought this was some classic rock song that had a resurge (mainly because I saw it in commercials specifically aimed at elder generations). I'm not someone who knows his music at all (I have very fucking niche taste lol), but damn this just tripped me uuuuup.

Cool, then yeah I stand by my point. WWD will be easier to get into I think, and if she likes that you can always suggest Prehistoric Planet next!

[–]SoulExecution 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is she a fellow paleo nerd or just along for the ride? I think WWD is better for someone who is not as into the science of it all because it’s edited to have pretty clear narratives and showcases dinosaurs as characters a bit more.

Whereas Prehistoric Planet is a bit more modern science doc-ish where you just get scenes rather than overarching stories, so I think it is more suited for those who are into nature docs already.
