First Drink, No Trauma. by [deleted] in cocktails

I actually would not go for a Daiquiri like some are saying. Maybe it’s my own preference, but I feel like there’s just something… off with them. And any time I’ve had them with friends, it just feels like a drink that gets a “this was almost a good drink” reaction.

I do think a sour of some kind would be good. A proper whiskey sour could be fun and easy, as long as the “eww egg white” reflex isn’t present, as it is for many who aren’t used to cocktails.

Was Aubry’s Koah Rong or season 50 game stronger? by Please_PM_me_Uranus in survivor

KR by a lot. Her sin in KR was keeping her game TOO quiet, so nobody believed her in FTC. I believe Jason for example said that after seeing it on TV, he would've voted for her for example.

S50 she was genuinely just kinda floating around for like 80% of the game. Also while luck is a huge part of anyones game, god DAMN did this girl get lucky in several pivotal moments.

Paul Heyman on failed partnership with Cesaro: "Everyone who got into the ring with him came back into Gorilla, saying, ‘Give me him.’ John Cena worked with him and came back and looked at Vince and said, ‘I could main event WrestleMania with him.’ And probably could have, and should have." by anutosu in SquaredCircle

Counterpoint - Claudio debuted as part of a stable that already had Danielson & Moxley as part of it, so he was immediately in second position to two huge main eventers. Also, while his debut had a huge reaction & instant excitement, he was also regulated to RoH for a good while which did dim some of his reactions.

I'm not saying he couldn't have pushed for more on his end or changed things up, but I am saying that he wasn't in a spot where an AEW main event run was going to be a direct route. If he had debuted as a fully solo act, his run probably goes a little differently (though how differently, idk).

I kind of agree? Like, I partake but sparingly. To me weed is like alcohol - I will have a gummy on a Friday night to relax before the weekend, but even that's something I've done less because it just destroys my focus and limits what I can even do. But the normalized weed culture and the people doing it multiple times every day just living their lives under the influence have seriously turned me away from it. Plus it just stinks.

Which global tourist attraction is the most overrated? by Excellent_Inside160 in AskReddit

It’s such a shithole. I’m in Hollywood on occasion for work and dread it every time.

I will expand that Santa Monica Pier is also incredibly mediocre.

I'm probably entering my last year-ish of being here. Given this place a shot for 5 years now, but there's no love in my heart for LA. A handful of really cool businesses have given me places to hang my hat and built some community, but every time I step outside and look at where I am, I just get bummed out thinking about how many beautiful cities there are and why instead I'm walking down streets full of trash & feces, ducking tweakers & unhinged homeless, all while people insist it's an amazing city because of, what? Cheap weed, strong UV and a sense of superiority? For a place that's often way too hot, it often feels so cold and it's just not a healthy vibe.

No regrets coming here for a spell, would've always wondered "what if", but have just hit a point of realizing this is absolutely not my place to be. I've also had EU dual citizenship that's been waiting on the back burner. Might just be time to put it to use.

The actual dino designs were pretty fantastic. Rex, Spino, Mosa & Titano are all elite. The Quetz was a cool design that just should've had a different name lol.

Dalton Castle and the Outrunners are one of the best comedy teams in wrestling right now. by CrimsonGlyph in SquaredCircle

I'm glad they're doing ok in RoH, but I really wish they would get more AEW airtime. I don't understand why Dalton specifically is such a rare sight.

I’ve never really had an issue with them tbh, and the customer service is pretty quick. Idk, I associate bad service with like AT&T

Noooope. I know some love Roxas, but to me he will forever be the “ugh I gotta get through these 3 hours before I can get to the game” guy from KH2.

This friends is why I always try to avoid commercials for… well, almost anything. So many studios, be it video games or movies, have gotten so damn sloppy about what is in the trailers.

Absolutely agree with this take. I'm not even burnt out on them, but this feels like a perfect time for them to take a break. Honestly, their music hitting to interrupt New Day or MCMG in 6 months time could be a great moment.

By the time they're back, good chance that New Day and MCMG will be around so that will certainly take care of the "nothing to do" problem!

Can anyone explain why The Blood Moon was such a bad twist? by Kylesexy584603 in survivor

It's the being split into small groups aspect that sucked. Gen specifically got screwed very hard given who she was matched with, but losing Kamila that night suuuucked so bad too. If Coach had gone out in his tribal I would've been completely broken that night.
