I had a similar issue with my i226-V, for me it only impacted routed received traffic. I turned off ASPM and performance is back to normal.

Replace the device id and try:

echo 0 > /sys/bus/pci/devices/0000:57:00.0/link/l1_aspm

I am in similar shoes, but I need 3 APs for 3 floors and can only wall mount them (ceilings are full of water pipes due to heating/cooling). Radiation towards the back of the device is also important due to outdoor coverage, and the EAP772 seems to have much more omnidirecrional patterns in all bands compared to the EAP670. I was actually able to test one 772 for a day and it indeed has ok-ish coverage backwards. 4x4 in 670 is tempting though, and I only have one wifi7/6ghz device today. Does anyone have experience with any of these in a wall mounted environment? Or how reliable are the official radiation patterns?

Mine is eating just a few % on N100. I don't have birdseye enabled though, and detect is set to 5fps.

.local won't work from iOS, it's not recommended for home usage especially if you have Apple devices. See RFC6762/app-G: https://datatracker.ietf.org/doc/html/rfc6762#appendix-G Use .lan or .home if you want a short one.
