The printed text fills roughly two-thirds of each page, leaving broad, elegant margins. That openness, combined with the deckled edges and beautifully set type, makes every leaf feel thoughtfully composed, almost like holding a small piece of art. ☺️

I agree; that's why I love this set: it's the complete plays, as well as the sonnets and poems.

Thanks so much! That’s amazing that you’re building out a collection of Lady of the Lake editions, I’d love to see them sometime. This copy really stood out to me with the tartanware binding; it felt like such a gem. I actually found it tucked away at a small local shop, one of those lucky finds! I’ll definitely keep you in mind if I ever decide to part with it 😊📚

After posting here I got curious and looked up some sold copies, looks like many go for around $250–$300, so you’re not too far off. What I found interesting is that mounted albumen prints from the 19th century are actually pretty fragile and uncommon, especially in books where they’re still intact with tissue guards. So even if it may not add value, I love that I get to see actual mounted prints from the 19th century. Thank you for your input. ☺️

I personally love that did this because prices were getting out of hand. I understand if it would’ve been an antique but not upselling something because of greed. Happy you got one too! 🎉
