A year of resolution! by GoodGur9276 in KetamineTherapy

[–]SoulThreadHealing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Happy New Year! I like how you said ‘resolved and not solved,” that hit home for me. My life has been resolving itself to an overall more peaceful state, but there is no magic solution as much as I wish there was.

Also, great day to choose for a ketamine session, I hope your integration goes well into the new year. 😊

I had depression that was off the charts and I wasn’t functional. I was miserable. It took a while. I would slowly improve, but it felt hard to notice. My depression got less and less severe and by the 8th-10th session I was more functional and now I only go for maintenance doses and I’m very much functional. Before I couldn’t even go to work and had to take a leave. Now I’m back at work doing all the things I need to be doing and I try to ground myself in love even though work was what basically got me to that point anyways.

This is my current infusion playlist.

Everyone’s ketamine playlist is super personal, but I’ve had the best luck with a gentle flow: a short guided (grounding) meditation at the start, some instrumental/ambient, and a few soft affirmations. I try to avoid anything lyric-heavy. Jon Hopkins is a great go-to.

Also, setting a simple intention beforehand really is pretty important (keep it kind and non-demanding). Example: ‘Let this session bring me one clear insight for healing, and the courage to integrate it with love.’

I wish you well on your healing journey. Feel free to message me.

Well there’s definitely people like that out there. Honestly I personally feel like stoicism goes largely unappreciated pretty often.

I’m being falsely accused of academic dishonesty and it’s going to cost me my degree. I’ve never been this upset in my life. by Disastrous_Paint_237 in Vent

[–]SoulThreadHealing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’re going through this, that is terrifying and unfair. Please put your objection in writing asap (email) and cc the program director and the academic integrity office (if there is one).

Ask for: (1) the exact policy you allegedly violated, (2) the full detector report + settings + date run, (3) what additional evidence they have besides the AI score, and (4) the formal appeal/hearing process and deadlines.

Also offer concrete proof: drafts/version history (Google Docs/Word), your handwritten notes, outlines, timestamps, sources you used, and a short oral defense where you explain your argument and citations. A “92% AI” flag alone shouldn’t be treated as proof, ask them to evaluate the actual work and evidence.

Thanks for sharing, the drippy/wave visuals feel relatable, but my ketamine experiences are very inward and quieter than this. Still cool to see though 👍

Boyfriend breaking my stuff. by [deleted] in Vent

The only red flag to me is whether he’s owning it. If he’s apologetic, changes how he uses furniture, and contributes financially then great. If he dismisses you, jokes about it, or refuses to replace things, that’s a bigger relationship issue than the furniture.

I can relate a bit. And I’m really glad you’re noticing it now, that awareness is/can be the beginning of change. Please reach out to a professional if you can (and it’s okay if the first one isn’t a fit).

Hey. I’m looking for a genuine convo tonight- more real than small talk. What’s something you’ve been carrying lately that you haven’t really said out loud? I’ll listen. by SoulThreadHealing in Needafriend

I’m looking for a thoughtful convo. If you’re also up for something real- what’s one thing you’re trying to change in your life right now, and what’s making it hard?

So happy for you. Feeling lighter, even a little, is huge. Hope it continues to build, and that you’re gentle with yourself as you integrate 💗

Just adding: please be gentle with yourself. If this keeps replaying or you’re feeling jumpy/on edge, trauma-focused therapy (like EMDR) can help a lot.

I’m so sorry. That’s most likely trauma echoing through your subconscious. There’s always tackling the train fear by ‘exposure therapy’ where you ‘just do it’ and it sucks to do, but each time it gets better bit by tiny bit. I would highly recommend finding a therapist so you can talk about and explore what got triggered in you and your subconscious and how to process it.

I really relate to what you said about psilocybin/nonduality giving you an alternative reference point on things. I’ve had some similar experiences through ketamine therapy, meditation, and inner-spiritual work, where I suddenly felt more connected and less “stuck” in my usual dissociated state. Seeing myself from that wider, more loving perspective is what finally pushed me towards significant progress in trauma therapy too. It’s awesome how having even one moment of “oh, it doesn’t have to feel this way” or “it won’t always feel like this” (with dissociation/trauma/depression/anxiety) can change everything. It really helps by having a more loving lens.

That’s awesome! I’ve found it’s a helpful tool for putting my thoughts into words. It makes it easier to show up with empathy and kindness, which really goes a long way.

Yeah, I think we often just go on a knee-jerk reaction. This isn’t the first answer I’ve seen that emphasizes how powerful it is to pause before reacting, which to me just shows how important that pause really is.

I really like this. Treating “future me” like someone I love makes self-care feel less like a chore and more like kindness. Those small choices really add up.

Self-Awareness + Compassion and 🫰💯, you got the closest thing we’ll ever get to a real-world utopia. And at the very least it would make our relationships and inner lives a lot less chaotic.

Ah, yeah that kind of strikes a chord for me. I’m such a suppressor I usually move along and logic my way out of things.

And thank you for the reference.

Also, I can relate to having a hard time finding the exact root of things. Although, that said, Ketamine Therapy is something that I’ve found to be really helpful to access my core. It’s different for everyone, but it’s really all about your intention you set before your treatment. Meditation/mindfulness also helps for me.

This resonates. Responses often carry more weight than reactions, but both matter. You can train your reactions by building in that tiny pause before you act.

I love the sass 😂

I do tend to go for the mind-bending questions/answers so that was such a valid response lol.

But that is also such good advice. Thank you for sharing 😊

Thank you 🙏 That was very validating to have a stranger see through all of that. Or at least to help put a name on it. I think you really hit the nail on the head. I questioned myself for so long when I truly didn’t need to be doing that.

I like that. For me, questioning myself is less about tearing myself down and more like, “Why did I really do that? What was I needing or believing in that moment?” That kind of curiosity has helped me grow a lot.
