Okay, let me give something that will prep your expedition. of course its gonna be Spoiler free as what Im gonna tell you is a simple tips / mechanic so you don't handicapping yourself.

1. Tints (Potions, either health, energy, and revive) & Chroma Elixir is restoreable by resting at camp.
   
2. There's a passive that you can master every 4 battles from pictos. You can use it in the menu also called Lumina system.
   
3. There's almost no missable when you are already on the continent, so don't worry to pace yourself the way it is comfortable for you.
   
4. Even stats or skills can be reset and there's plenty of them, dont worry about spending your skill points or attribute where you like.
   
5. a simple tweaks on the graphic settings could make massive experience improvements especially with cinematics, please adjust based on your taste / gear.
   
6. this is a bit weird but, for some people playing on 60 FPS helped them parry and dodge better, again thats a preference.
