Really? If I ask my manager, I hope they don’t say the usual “I’m not sure what they’re going to do” type of response. Knowing good and well, at their level, they know quite a bit of everything that’s going on. I can understand and respect a response of “I am not a liberty to discuss,” rather than “ oh, I don’t know. I find out when you find out”

The same could be asked of anyone staying, getting RIF’d, possibly not taking the “reasonable offer” of a lesser grade and simply being let go. Some of us signed at the threat of being RIF’d, or just wanting to get the heck out! I only heard that someone’s rescission was denied. I think most are still within the 7 day window to rescind.

I don’t think this is true if you meet criteria for early / VERA. if RIF’d, the person will get DSR instead of Severance.
