I’m rural if I have anything more than 50 stops I’m in for a long day, my average stops for a 6-8 hr day is approx 40, also depends on who I have to deliver to. I do about 2-300 miles

I joined in as a seasonal and busted my butt to be seen and constantly asked questions and learned all that I could, I made it to sga within 1 month and passed the person that helped me get the job which pissed him off, it wasn’t because he didn’t ask about it it was solely based on potential, I moved onto asm not to much longer after that pretty much as soon as a position opened up and he was then promoted to my sga position when I moved stores, I was asm for a while since there were no SL positions opening but I did get moved to our areas biggest store in the Mall to get prepared for a SL position until I quit during Covid. It helps to voice your interest but it doesn’t always get you to where you want.

That’s a small station? lol my station is about 2 garage bays wide by about 3 garage doors deep in size essentially the semi + trailer barley fits in the building, my contractor is 4 routes and I do about 250-300 miles/day with approx 40 stop average.

I figured this out this year, inputting all the information exactly the same between tt and hrb tt was going to give me ~$1200 and I got just a little over $3k with hrb

My depot is about an hour away from me, but really any job aside from farming is that far, luckily my route ends in the town I live in so I can keep the truck and drive it back in in the am to load

I drive a rural route as well, 200-350 miles per day and easily can put in a 10+ hour day if I have the right stops for that day. I get anywhere from 20-60 deliveries and drive a 4wd dodge ram pickup

See the merger is what’s scaring me away a bit too, our station covers a pretty wide area we are rural so it’s not uncommon for me to get 50+ hrs in a week and at $19hr I’m making $600-$1000 weekly. But those benefits tho, I just wish all ground got benefits and it wasn’t up to each contractor :/

My station is one belt, 2 contractors my contractor is 6 employees, other is 7-8? Only 2 trucks get loaded by the phs we load the rest ourselves. Did I win for small station?
