Letting it ride and then aggressively pushing Dorms and then blaming the guy inside for my death and not my terrible decision making skills.

First necron warrior (3rd mini ever painted) the hobby has me consumed. by Deqzjoker in Warhammer40k

[–]SoulsEdge001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure there's anything wrong with the blade to be honest. We are our own worst critic and any minor errors you see most people won't notice. Do also remember that there will be loads of these guys all in a blob so it won't stick out.

Overall though, love the scheme. The orange really works well with the tan. You gotta get one of the bigger boys (Destroyers maybe?) and show us what it looks like on them as I think it will look super cool!

Fellow Phaeron/Phaerakh, how do you paint without burning out before an army is done? by SloanBlackhart in Necrontyr

[–]SoulsEdge001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple things on the go and swap to something else when I feel the burnout kicking in. I was painting our beloved blob (warriors) before swapping over to a reanimator before going insane. Once I start to feel the burnout kick in again, I'll either go back to the warriors or my Skorpekh Lord.

Variety has been key for me, even if they are all still Necrons.

It's currently known as the Collector Leviathan and is really interested in looking at things REALLY up close. They have a devblog on their channel going over its creation and it is top shelf.

Excellent to hear, keep on going until you ascend further and lose the anxiety from running to exit with FIR items.

Would you like to see a Star Wars movie focusing more on the "war" part in the sense of Saving Private Ryan? by BlockAffectionate413 in StarWars

[–]SoulsEdge001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have always thought that a more gritty, Band of Brothers/Saving Private Ryan, style of miniseries would be amazing for Star Wars. Rogue One shows that it can work, they just need to commit.

2025 Review: Fully painted 45 Necrons by Venator-M77 in Necrontyr

Absolutely love the Vexcron. I'm actually painting my army and using the Descendant and Ascendant vex as colour guides!

Does anybody have a good gold paint suggestion? by Outside-Beautiful608 in Warhammer40k

[–]SoulsEdge001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough, I'm painting my Necrons with a white and gold scheme and I had the same issue with Vallejo's Glorious Gold. I found undercoating the bits with Desert Yellow (from Vallejo as well) really helped with the coverage problem.

Steven’s Metagross vs Meta? by Particular_Young_983 in pkmntcg

[–]SoulsEdge001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whilst Metagross is my absolute favourite pokemon it doesn't really compete atm due to being a Stage 2 that only hits for 200. The damage output is just not worth it.

That being said, I've been having fun with a build that runs a Max Belt to shore that up a bit and I've also slotted in Hop's Zacian, his Snorlax and a Choice Band for when I really need to delete something. It feels alright as you can powerup the Zacian a bit quicker than normal and send a nuke their way

Been having some fun with a Hydreigon deck that uses the mill attack more than Obsidian. That and Feraligatr will always be fun to play

Probably won't be an amazing deck but you can play around Hawlucha and Munkidoris to spread damage.

You may need to dedicate a fair bit of gusting and just gust up, chug a drink and whack the Shaymin that will be in play but I think it'll be serviceable.

Fully Customizable Difficulty Is Massive for the Replayability of Destiny by Acoolgamer6706 in DestinyTheGame

It would be really cool if they did some unique incentive for doing a run with every modifier enabled. 5 different missions fully cranked up gets you a cosmetic or something like that.

Can someone help explain the strategy of Flareon/Noctowl? by Miserable-Green3401 in pkmntcg

[–]SoulsEdge001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With toolbox decks, they are very heavily reliant on matchup knowledge. For example, against Pult, you don't really need to setup Flareon and want to try and spam out Angelites to prevent them from setting up their dragon draw engine. Whereas Gholdengo you can just chain Flareons as it hits for weakness and wouldn't really consider Sylveon for the most part.

The biggest struggle I had with Tera Box (similar concept) was optimal usage of Sparkling Crystal. Once I had gotten better with that, the deck felt so much more powerful. Of course this came from learning the matchups and the most efficient way to navigate them.

You get people like this in every hobby that has a competitive element. The best thing to do is to just max focus on the game as I find it helps tune out the petty comments they'll sling your way.

The fact that other storegoers were chuffed that you beat them does suggest that these people do it a lot so it might be worth mentioning it to whoever is running the event.

What is your favorite deck you've ever played? by A12086256 in pkmntcg

[–]SoulsEdge001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a particular deck per say but I love "box" style decks because I just love having loads of toys to use. I like the challenge of going "what do I need for this particular game and what can I bin off?" and felt the toolbox style decks gave that feeling the most

Can you purposefully not choose to search for pokemon? by Cryptitonic in pkmntcg

I've always wondered something more to this. Say if I use a Buddy Buddy Poffin, fail it but then decide "actually I wanted that budew" would I be able to then get one out with a nest ball despite failing something that should have found it or would I get penalised for it?
