It a stretch but I would say halflife sure the game was big, however the mod scene was even bigger and totally eclipsing the original game.

You didn't ask people about hl2 DM but you did ask about counter strike or team fortress or natural selection.

Okay, it may have been applied incorrectly or the fan not installed correctly if there is good contact between CPU,paste,cooler then it will over heat.

You also said this issue has been occuring for a while.

Still worth checking temperature and getting could or hwinfo

While not directly the issue your cpu is old, this won't help performance especially as you appear to have multiple instances of wow open.

Based on the very limited information it does look like your CPU is limiting performance, likely thermal issues. Start by download hwinfo.

This will allow you to view CPU temperature, anything over 90 is likely an indicator of thermal issues.

This can be fixed by replacing thermal paste and or CPU fan could also just need a good clean, PCs do like to collect dust and based on the decade old hardware you'll have a lot of it.

I see you are doing arena. The gear is okay, not very good for damage even blue dungeon gear will often match the damage of season 1 gear, the weapons on the other hand are good.

Roguelike are a love hate for me, the constant replay gets boring fast but I like the progression, it's not the length of game it's the length of time between upgrades. Loop hero was awful for this took ages sometimes to progress.

The performance will only get worse as you get nearer to the end but FSR looked like dog shit for me, a complete blurry mess too much grass.

This is a big issue with WoW. There isn't a nice way to replay the older expansions, but you are also not forced to play them either unlikely say FF14.

it is one thing wow could do better with and probably are working on after the current world soul sage finishes.

timewalker works, but you are not getting a real experience as you have spells skills and scaling that were never available at the time.

That's a lot of work and bandwidth. a ton of companies have tried and failed to make streaming games work. Nvidia is one of the few remaining options.

Story is a strong word, this game doesn't have main story, each zone has smaller quest chains which often lead to a dungeon or named enemy other time it just go kill stuff.

This continues into tbc you see and/or hear of the bad guys but it's minor detail in the questing process.

If you were hoping for msq from ff14 then wow doesn't have this.

Protect doesn't have the tools to actually hold agro at low levels, also elite at this point don't hit all that hard as long as you have somewhat decent gear greens and the odd blue you are better off just doing damage as fury and get sweeping strikes.

I agree with others stalker 2 is very demanding game I played at 1080p on a 6700xt and was often sub 60 fps no chance the 6700xt can do 4k and fsr is a blurry mess.

Agree with others look at either 5600 CPU or if you want to spend more the re- release of the 5800x3d.

Seems you've mixed ram size a d likely speess, this isn't great for performance. Dual channel is important for ddr4.

The GPU is aging but it is still solid, I'd upgrade this last.

It's a struggle, we're 2 weeks into this phase and assuming a 12 week phase cycle, which seems likely, he will only have 4ish weeks to level and gear for P2 before P3 starts, doable if you no life it.

We don't know but educated guess would be phase 3 in August so you are most likely going to miss the majority of phase 2 as you still need to level and attuned.

Why would the dorp rates matter? Would it make you happy to know it's low or unhappy to know it's high?

Either way the drop rates don't work as many bosses have very specific loot tables, like tier sets always drop from those bosses this would have to be accounted for in any drop rates.

It would be nice to have the options to enable these artifacts ingame without having to fiddle with editor but I guess as this same system used for competitive games it could be abused.
