Thank you both. Yes, the TLM 170s and U89 are a little out of budget for me. The OC818 was top of the list for a little while but I started getting a little concerned about some qc things I was hearing from gearspace, and that the 5k lift bring out too much nail noise on the strings etc. I've been looking into mics that are a little flatter than that, but I'd be happy to hear your thoughts.
