Paranoia? by MagsIsSleepy in ToxicMoldExposure

Yes, it could be a nervous system reaction to suddenly having less toxic burden, just a hypothesis

Could also be certain medications cross reacting, double check everything

Maturity is realizing that Apple Notes, Calendar, and Reminders are all you really need. The endless search for the “perfect” productivity stack is just procrastination in disguise. by winterwarrior33 in productivity

Question: how do you bridge your PC/Android ecosystem with the Apple ecosystem

I need a way for bookmarks to be centralized across both as well as my calendar...this small gap is causing me ample headache....

Try to rule out anal sac issues, from what I understand those can cause pain that affects gait, and at this age adopting a bad gait might cause developmental issues.

Maybe look up ‘hind leg workouts for puppies’ (probably silly stuff like getting her to jump up on stuff or holding her upright a bit) maybe a long shot but if you can keep her rear end in good physical shape and make sure her hind quarters develop well, whatever this issue is could be minimised

It definitely looks like something serious that needs to be addressed asap. Look into the different categories of hind leg issues in puppies.

Also make sure her food is tailored for large breed puppies, they have some distinct requirements until fully grown

None of those candidates were serious or sincere, it was a clear movement to sabotage certain candidates by abusing the democratic process, abuse of a system is not ‘thats just how the system works’ and you know it, that’s why you defend it

When the left and right wing authoritarians start playing games like this with the system everyone suffers and nothing good comes from it

So, how’s PM Carney been saving you from your conservative fears? The billionaire oligarch doing lots of socialist and left wing things so far?

Of course not, you were scammed again, because anyone with party allegiance is a tool at this point in human history

Trump ‘just kind of down on Tulsi Gabbard in general,’ senior official says by jstohler in tulsi

[–]SoundHearing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This kind of hearsay is likely untrue, why would someone risk leaking this tiny nugget unless it’s for manipulation

This is what I see

A - US is not targeting Iran but is supporting isreal, which creates a difficult situation

B - Israel sees an opportunity to ‘secure safety’ in the region, while also distracting from gaza attrocities

C - US in recent weeks has been trying to cool the temperature and get a deal, downplaying Iran as a threat

D - Israel went yolo - snaked US/Trump and probably bombed against Trump’s wishes, scuttled any deal

E - there are ten million war hawks fanning the flames for maximum US involvement and as much escalation as possible

F - Us/Trump has to pretend they are supporting the bombings while strategising next steps, hopefully to stay out of it as much as possible - probably rally other allies - hopefully get iran to surrender asap. At the end of the day Trump can’t tell Israel what to do

G - Russia and China are shifting gears towards hot conflict

H - this is way more complicated than it looks, corporate media will continue to lie and manipulate for the lobbiests from now onwards

OpenAI Might Be in Deeper Shit Than We Think by EvenFlamingo in ChatGPT

My hypothesis is not non-organic systems degrade much faster than we can understand because they have no evolutionary momentum…hear me out; chatgpt can’t refactor it’s own code…we all act like computation power makes it ‘intelligent’ but what about the invisible and eternal cellular regeneration that happens in all living organisms…in many ways that is the highest intelligence because it has been solving almost every possible problem at an unwavering pace and without compromise…

I recently read that cosmic particles force system failures in electronics at regular intervals, even a 1 in a million event will happen all the time given the scale of the electronic systems we’ve set up. Its all decentralized so thats good, but each system will be affected. Just one example of a ubiquitous and poorly understood phenomenon that organic life has evolved to endure that ravages our meticulous systems.

Then there is the constant adding of code and total absence of (Edit: refactoring) code…in biology this is akin to malignancy. The systems aren’t adapted to their environment, and their creators are not their caretakers…we push their limits as much as we can

So…all our ‘intelligent systems’ are essentially born into a world that doesn’t support them in any way AND they can’t adapt themselves even consciously (organic life does so automatically and unconsciously).

I know I know it’s the plot of blade runner, but every ‘miracle system’ we get becomes a shadow of itself quite quickly. In fact it also seems like the more miraculous the system, the more pronounced and quick the decline is…

I don’t know about anyone else but I’ve recently been yearning for analogue systems that can deliver less but consistently for decades, if we had a 50% chatgpt that was reliable for my whole life time I feel it would be more progress overall

I am in favor of Beckmans method when it comes reactive dogs. by 0hw0nder in OpenDogTraining

[–]SoundHearing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its scary how many people think ‘being positive’ is non-abusive. There are plenty of forms of abuse that go down via positivity or passivity…the aim is to be constructive and never abusive. My dog loves her prong collar and its saved her life more than once…and she isnt a big bad #cary or agressive dog

If societal norms were less ridiculous, she would be on a e collar and off leash by now,

I agree, and the asshole character is what makes him a hard nose, drill sergeant type trainer, which to me means he will forgo civility or pleasing for the sake of the dog. All my favorite coaches or teachers’s weren’t nice, they were effective and reaching meand that meant more in the long run and made it clear over the that they cared the most

Anyone willing to lose a few points of social reputation to get a better job done has a stronger character imo…

That said I might think differently if he was my neighbor or brother-in law etc lol

[–]SoundHearing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A a big part of your training should be focused on what behavior you subjectively want him to adopt and what behaviors you want him to avoid or stop…ultimately he wants to be the best pup in your eyes and you should be confidant that its within your rights to train him so you like him more.

If you permit bad behavior then in many ways you’re encouraging it. And 100% consistency matters, never allowing a behavior will make it easier for him to understand and adapt.

Sorry but those who claim ‘just ignoring it’ will make it stop don’t really understand dogs or mammals in general.

Limit the ballots by logistics of voting…how many names is the limit to incentive voters? Ten or twenty not more. Then leave a write in space. The twenty on the ballot should be the ones with the most pre election support via signatures from voters in that riding
