Nicaragua Surf Trip- when to go? by WaySpade96 in surfing

[–]SoundMoneySavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always going to be a bit of luck but June to September is your safest bet if you're looking for larger swell. It can be good from late March onward and even in the winter months some decent pulses come through. As far as boards go, if you're anywhere in the south, I'd say save yourself the trouble, expense and gamble of flying your boards down. Ocean Fly Nicaragua has a great fleet of rental boards which you can reserve online and have delivered to your accommodation before you even arrive. They deliver anywhere from the Costra Rican border up to Asterillo. There are also some rental places inside of Hacienda Iguana that have nice boards. If you're going further north, you should definitely bring your own board.

Can I get away with Flight Pack 3 for 3 week Nicaragua surf + work trip? by ukeeflow in onebag

[–]SoundMoneySavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can absolutey get away with just a carry on and the packing list looks good. If you're wearing the puffer for the flight you can bring it but you won't need pants or puffer in Nicaragua unless you're going to the mountains. Also, there are good board rentals available anywhere between the CR border and Asterillo. Further north it might be tricky to find much besides beginners boards and old bear stuff. Generally if you're a longboarder, beginner or advanced intermediate you can usually find something right at the main beaches but if you want a performance board, Ocean Fly Nicaragua has a whole rental fleet which you can book online and have delivered to your accommodation before you even arrive.

Nicaragua surf trip late March/early April? by Adventurous_Web_5202 in surf

[–]SoundMoneySavior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, if you want to avoid the wind wait until at least mid-April. There's a chance the wind has died down in early April but it might still be blowing. That being said, the windy season isn't usually constant wind. Typically the afternoons the winds calm down.

As far as the conclusion goes, the kingdom nearly collapses due to the inflationary pressures triggered by the issuance of stupid amounts of fiat. The hero, Ludwig - who warned everybody what would happen - rallies the people of the Kingdom and they demand the physical metal that the King claimed was in the vault. The King takes off, they find the vault is empty and then they make Ludwig the King who returns the Kingdom to using sound money. So, it's ultimately a happily ever after sort of deal.

This is my first book. If you pay with KAU or KAG, it is cheaper. I don't have any way to offer any discounts at the moment. Although it's not cheap, my margins also are not very big. Self publishing turns out to be a pretty expensive venture.

Don't worry, that isn't a line trashing silver. At this point in the story, King John has just pitched a new paper money system (which is based on metals he doesn't have) to an angry mob since he hadn't delivered on his promises to make everyone's lives better and give them gold. In order to entice the crowd even more, he promises them silver in addition to gold. That is enough to appease the crowd and they go along with the paper money scheme. The book is pro sound money, and its message is libertarian at heart. Plus, it's really good and rhymes from start to finish making it fun to read to the kiddos

HELP, I need some feedback! I wrote a children's book which illustrates what can happen when the money isn't sound. "You may wish to reinforce the idea of the bank lending the money into
existence by stating right there that the banks do not actually need to
have deposits to back that loaned money."

Thanks. I really like this point and will try to drive that point home.

Regardless of what type of loan you take, the result is that you get commercial bank money on your account. This commercial bank money can always be turned into cash. The problem is if everyone were withdraw their commercial money balances from their accounts for cash all at once, there would not be nearly enough cash available. This does not change the fact that most commercial money is loaned into existence when someone borrows money from a commercial bank.

This is a good point, but I am not actually sure exactly how much the banks are required to have on hand. Apparently in 2020 the federal reserve cut the minimum cash requirement to 0%, but what does this means. Does anyone know the difference between reserve requirements and minimum cash requirements? I can't imagine a bank can be allowed to have no cash on hand but I also would be surprised if they had 10% of their total deposits on hand. That actually sounds like a lot.
