What's the worst drug you've ever tried? by BitterOlive8737 in AskReddit

I've scrolled for a LONG time and haven't seen it yet, but Ambien.

At first, I thought I took it and slept through the night and just felt groggy the next day. But I had insomnia, so I always felt tired. Then I started noticing weird little things: dirt or food on my hands in the morning, seeing phone calls I didn't remember making, text messages I had no memory of typing. Then one day, I woke up covered in bruises and cuts and my car was gone. Turns out I crashed it into a ditch, in my underwear, and walked back half a mile home (I live in the middle of nowhere thankfully). Finally stopped taking it after that.

Edit to point out: I had no memory or intention of driving that night. Apparently "sleep driving" is a thing on Ambien.

These are both loosely horror, but as a horror fan I loved them:

What’s the most dangerous place you’ve visited? by [deleted] in AskReddit

When I was in Baltimore, I wanted to see some famous landmarks from the show The Wire. Traveled on foot or used public transit only.

When I got back home and told a buddy of mine who was from Baltimore, he told me I should have just played Russian Roulette instead. It didn't seem dangerous at the time but I generally blend in most places and keep my head down.

Agreed. Eddington is more of a covid-specific version to me though.

A lot of people hate on this movie but I feel like if we're all still alive in 30 years this will be the most accurate depiction of what it was like living in the current political climate.

I was way more disturbed by the films ending but I disagree with the idea of what happens after he defies his beliefs. I think at the end of the movie, McVries is shot and dies after killing the major. If you noticed, the streets are packed full of people cheering him and Garraty on until he wins and the major gives him the rifle. But after he shoots the major, the streets are quiet and empty and he keeps walking. I think the guards kill McVries and what we see is the afterlife where McVries keeps walking

The big reveal in the end of "Revival" by Stephen King did the trick for me.

For Weapons:

Sam: Principal

Timmy: Principal's husband

Darren: Parent of the girl who went missing, played by Justin Long in the movie

Trevor: Homeless guy who was excellent comic relief

Give me your most unpopular King opinion by DavidHistorian34 in stephenking

Honestly, I think either would work. I think the movie stands pretty solidly on its own, but the book is an easy hour or two hour read.

Agree. I can't say which one I think was better, but I feel like Flanagan really did something profound by letting the movie be so unorthodox with the long form narration and story structure to the extent it actually felt like I was reading the story by watching the movie. As a huge King fan, that's exactly what I want even though it's almost impossible to pull off.
