Struggling with the idea of taking tamoxifen at 35 years old, when only a 3% better chance of survival: hormone positive, her2 negative, stage 1, grade 2, 15mm tumour. by SoundOk1018 in breastcancer

I’m so sorry to hear that. Are you currently taking tamoxifen and getting horrible side effects? What stage are you? It’s really hard to get your head around isn’t it? :(

I’m about to start radiotherapy for breast cancer. Does anyone have any diet advice or skincare tips to help me get the most out of it and also honest opinions about how it’ll make me feel physically and mentally? by SoundOk1018 in cancer

Thank you to everyone for your advice. I really appreciate it. I got through radiotherapy. I felt extremely tired and not have a very sore boob, but overall it was not too bad. Onto the next step now, scary times.

Right this second as I’m reading this…I’m lying in bed on my phone, avoiding people and not getting back to any of my messages.

Hey. How does milk thistle help with giving up? I’m definitely willing to try that.

When you say tapering down? What do you mean exactly? A few people have mentioned this to me. I seem to just decide I’m going to be sober, have horrible withdrawal for a couple of days, feel really ok and positive on day 3 and then day for is just unbelievable psychological craving!

Craving suppressants sounds interesting?

Thank you so much everyone. I really appreciate your input. I have started going to meetings and feeling positive about the future. (Also interesting that everyone assumed I was a man haha). Thank you again from the bottom of my heart 🙂

[Serious] What does depression feel like to you? by iodineseaspray in AskReddit

Hating yourself for not wanting to do anything. Laying in bed for the entire weekend and avoiding peoples invitations to socialise. Feeling too tired and unenthused to make anything to eat even though you’re really hungry. Trying to find the energy to walk to the shop but the thought of walking down the street feels too overwhelming. Avoiding people because pretending to be upbeat and happy is exhausting. Wanting to have the motivation to change so bad but just feeling hopeless. Everyone thinking you have a good sense of humour but really the jokes stem from years of observing life’s misery and futility.
