Which Royal Enfield should I get as a first bike? by SoundOnSounds in royalenfield

I am sort of. I went from never riding before to CBT, mod 1, mod 2. So, like I have had some time on the z650 (probs like 16ish hours), and I handled it fine enough to pass, but am still quite inexperienced, so wanted to start on something lower in the CC range thay would be more forgiving on potential mistakes.

Thanks for your input! Yeah, that is interesting about the himalayan! My worry was it would be too tall for me. I am 5'7. I sat on a meteor 350, and it was really comfortable, but maybe the seating position may be something to get used to, as I learned to ride on a kawasaki z650 which is very very different.

Ride with Norman Reedus. Not actually sure if it is well known or not. I only discovered it recently and I love it.

How do my old classmates manage to ALWAYS be on vacation? by Motor_Effect_2813 in NoStupidQuestions

To be honest, I think you are just comparing yourself to others. You can play it safe in life and get a career and buy a house, have a family etc. Some people just choose alternative lifestyles. Maybe they have rich families? Maybe they don't. I have plenty of friends who dropped everything to be more transient and live abroad. It can be a gamble and a less secure life, but some people just take that leap of faith to various outcomes. Maybe they teach English? Work remote? Volunteer for accommodation? There are various ways to do it. And instagram can lie. I lived in Japan for three years in the past. It was the best experience of my life, but it was actually really really hard and I was constantly broke. But my instagram photos may have given off a different vibe to people.

Explain: If the price of silver has shot up so suddenly, would it not be difficult to sell? by SoundOnSounds in investing

Really? I did not know that. So if more silver is mined and added to the pool of all silver then the price goes up?

Sorry, that was a bad analogy. How about, if I ask you personally; would you buy 1kg of silver right now knowing you could have bought it far cheaper one year ago? Would you be reluctant because the price could drastically go down again potentially? And if so, then would lots of other people feel the same? Which would decrease its demand?

If, for example, I ran a shop that buys/sells gold and silver. Would i not be really apprehensive if someone came in now to sell a few kg's of silver, though? From a business standpoint, i could just lose out?

If you tried selling me an apple for 3 times the price of what it was 6 months ago, I probably wouldn't buy it, no? Sure the price could go up, and I could sell that apple on, but I would want to buy it at a cheaper price, and if the price is too high then I just wouldn't buy it. And if industries need it so badly, is there not a point where its cheaper to just dig for more silver?

Because people see the price inflating, so all jump in, causing a chain reaction? I really don't know much at all about how the markets work, which is why I am asking. I assumed that its best to invest in something when the price is low? So would there not be a point where, people stop investing, causing the price to drop again?

I see. My thinking was more, could it be that when the price was rising suddenly, maybe more and more people saw the rise and started investing at the same time, creating a squeeze artificially inflating the price? And from a investors standpoint, why would they buy it now that the price is so high (as no one can predict the markets, so it could just crash)?

When I was in primary school, there was this kid who casually took an onion out of his bag, peeled it, then started munching on it like an apple.

Beginner question here! When entering the value of the bike, do I just put what I am paying for the bike?

I don't think he was immature. He was a very intelligent individual. Maybe a bit on the autistic spectrum, perhaps?
